We had this last night for the first time. I love crab legs and the snow crab clusters were very good! Two clusters came with a... potato and small piece of corn. The only thing I would suggest is offering more corn & potatoes with the clusters. The potatoand piece of corn included in mine were delicious but very small. My wife loves this place. The only decent crab place near here, but don?t miss out on the fried selections. While she loves the... Cajun style crab boil, I prefer the fried shrimp or calamari. The breading is really just perfect, light, crispy, and not oilyat all. The sweet potato fries are a little blah, so I?ll probably go with a different side, but all in all we really enjoy thefood. Seating and decor is pretty good. The only gripe is the pricing for the crab boils, but that?s to be expected with thattype of food. If I could recommend one change, have ?pick 2? options for your fried foods. Being able to order shrimp andoysters, or catfish and calamari, on the same plate would make this place perfect for me. Found this place while shopping in the area. Quick and extremely friendly service. Great food for the price. Highly recommend... the crab and shrimp combo for two. The food is served in a bag. It?ll get messy. But that?s the point. They provide all theutensils you need to enjoy some Cajun seafood. Restrooms were top notch, too! Read more
Was not overly pleased with this meal. The shrimp was a fair size and flavor with an OK serving of waffle cut sweet potato... fries. All were cooked fine, though there was nothing exceptional about their flavor or presentation. Others with me tried thecrab cakes and the pound of steamed shrimp. The crab cakes had a very soft and sweet flavor/texture and the steamed shrimp wasstandard fare. We did order a side of the rice & sausage, which was quite good but didn't make up for the underwhelmingperformance of the rest of the meal. We tried 2 different cheesecakes and thought they were a little too "off" for our tastes.It tasted like the crust had a garlic and salt flavored oil as the binder. On its own, the crust was not very appetizing. Havingthe crust with the cake filling, as one is supposed to eat it, the crust imparts an odd salty oily flavor to the bite. Not a fanof the desserts. Fantastic food. Everything was hot and delicious. The crab legs were fresh and flavorful. The Cajun sauce and seasoning was... amazing. Exceptional service. For the price of crab being $53.99 it was shocking to get my water with lemon in a styrofoam cup, plastic silverware, paper... plates and (2) terrible meals. The crab was delivered in a bag. The sauces were not homemade. The best thing was the beer whichwas needed in order to eat the meal. It has got to be the worst seafood we?ve ever eaten. Food was pretty good. Portions were satisfactory. Could ramp up the flavor of the seasoning. I tried the Big Bang which was more... like little bang even tho I got it mild. Food came quick and was hot. Server was sociable. Ambiance was overall nice with music,not so much with annoying kids. Shrimp was delicious, so we're crab legs. There could be a little more description on the menuof items. Good location but a little tight with parking as it's near other stores. Would definitely recommend and would visitagain. Read more
So we started out the night going to The Blind Pelican in Holly Springs to celebrate my husband's birthday, but after we were... told they had a 2 hr wait - we quickly changed our minds. My husband's first alternative suggestion was Red Lobster and while Ilove it there - the one local to us has been lousy in their service, food and ambiance the last two times we have been so I wasskeptical. My best friend suggested this place, which I didn't even know was here, but I sure am glad she did!! Firstly, theservice was impeccable; Will was our waiter and he was on it from start to finish! He was very attentive, personable andknowledgeable about the different food options! I would highly recommend asking for him as your server! Others working therealso checked on our table several times so we were never left waiting for anything! On top of that - the food was excellent!!Hot, fresh, flavorful, plentiful and definitely left us all very satisfied! This is one of our new favorite places and we willcertainly be back!
