We all really liked our desserts. The cheese cack was very good and the cakes were good as well. I would definitely recommend... the strawberries and cream cack it had a very nice strawberry flavor. This seems like a decent place to come and work or hangthough the setting is not the most varied or comfortable. The staff were all very nice. I also ordered a hibiscus tea which wasvery good. Excellent premium desserts. They have the flavor, the variety, and the presentation that is quite memorable. There is enough... variety that everyone should be able to find something suitable. They have a significant variety of dietary-restricted items, soyou should not have to worry about anyone not getting to try their delights. The cake slices are very generous and rich withlight and moist crumb. The Chocolate Chip Bavarian Cream had a nice contrast in icing and filling to provide a variety to theflavor profile. The Triple Chocolate Mousse had a pleasing presentation and also had a nice contrast in the mousse, icing, andembellishment flavors. This is great for desert's and coffee. When we went in we were nicely surprised. If you like sweets or loved them like me you'll... love this place. So many choices all look delicious. We ended getting 3 different kind of cakes and our friends bought 4. Irecommend this bakery if you want some great cake, cookies or cheesecake. The Baklava cheesecake is divine. You have to try it. Such a beautiful cafe, so much to choose from and the staff is very kind and patient. I got the vanilla macarons, pistachio... baklava which were delicious along with a vanilla latte and the Kenafa cheesecake was my favorite, honestly better thancheesecake I found in NYC, super creamy and not too rich. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to ASALI! It is a feast for the eyes and tongue. They mostly serve dessert. There are a few... savory pastries and hummus with homemade pita chips. The decor is very nice. Kind of pricey but most of their Desserts areunique and take skill to execute. I had the hummus with gluten free chips. It was very good! I also had the Blueberrylavender cheesecake which was phenomenal! I took home two tarts for my sons - hazelnut cheesecake and pecan caramel. The tartsare beautiful! My one critique is that the to go containers should match the quality of the product. I would consider these asgifts but the packaging would need to be better looking. YUM! We got the pistachio baklava and the baklava cheesecake! They were both tasty & unique. The pistachio baklava had a strong... pistachio flavor. The cheesecake was unique because it was very light & fluffy, and had a fresh/ citrusy taste to it. Thecheesecake came with a syrup sauce, but we found it to be too sweet. Occasionally would be good for a dip here andthere. Overall, the place was beautiful, they had a wonderful selection, and helpful employees. I am excited to go back & trymore desserts!! Read more
This is by far one of the best coffee shops/cafes in the area! Every dessert is SO good, it's so hard to choose just one. Their... desserts and drinks are very creative and usually a fun twist on a middle eastern classic. I highly recommend the Sahlab! Read more
