Reviews for The Jalapeno Tree in Carthage, TX
Very good. I had a taco salad, and my wife had quesadillas while our friend enjoyed tacos. The sauce could be a little hotter... but the food is always good at Jalapeno Tree. It would be difficult for any place to bring me too many jalapenos. Read more
Jessica (I believe) was my server/mixologist. She has personality, seems to enjoy her job and is very professional. They were... very busy when I showed up but there was no lag in service. Food was REALLY good. Hot, flavorful, good size portions and pricedjust right. Would definitely return if the opportunity arises. Thank yall. Read more
Very good food. Pretty decent service. Fish tacos, charro beans, white caso & a Coronarita. All were well made. I sat at the bar... and the bartender was running around in a hustle the whole time. Tending bar, waiting additional tables and ringing up checksfor all tables. Someone should take note of this, give her a raise and get her some help. Then it would have been a 5 starexperience. Just moved here to east Texas and this is by far the best mexican restaurant we have found! The others we have tried were... seriously lacking on flavor. The Jalapeno Tree is definitely our go to now :) Read more
Ordered spinach enchiladas. Most in fridge. Long stems still in and as you chew spinach balls up and I had to spit it out.... Tequila sauce tastes really good. Never had this problem with spinach before. Also ordered pint of salsa, pint kf green sauceand pint of guacamole. Was absolutely floored to discover all in plastic bowls. Should have had salsa and green sauce in glassjars. Guacamole was very good. Read more
Service was outstanding! Better than some expensive steakhouses I have been to. Very friendly staff. The food was solid and... tasty. I was driving through and had to stop by. I?m a tourist so I had to see the place that was featured in the movie. If I amever in town, I?ll most certainly eat here again. Read more
Not really pleased with the food here. If your "enchiladas" are in flour tortillas, I consider them burritos. Fast service and... food times (we came during lunch), but I can get that other places. Pricey for not really being what I consider Mexican food. They do make their spinach "enchiladas" with fresh spinach, so I'll give them that. Won't be back Read more
