Good food good drinks good jazz music but absolutely horrible general manager I?ve never met somebody so rude in Tennessee in my... life and I?m 40 years old. When she asked for my ID I asked her to guess my age and she immediately told me she didn?t have toserve me and just went off yelling at me and I left then I went out to the kitchen door and asked for management and she cameout cursing and yelling at me. I had a different bartender two days ago with a $60 tab for my steak and left her a $30 tipbecause the service was so good the general manager needs to go I?m sure the locals are used to her because she?s bad forbusiness. Amazing food in the heart of Carthage! We traveled from Lebanon and it did not disappoint! We had the raw oysters, grouper,... grilled shrimp & rice, and a shrimp po boy. Everything was delicious. We will drive to eat here again. Read more
We were tipped of to Ebel?s tavern by a friend we were visiting in the area. We had no ideal what to expect but we were... pleasantly blown away by this awesome little tavern. There are poker tables set up and both tables we full of players! I?ll haveto come back when I can get a game of poker in. My wife and our adult daughters stopped here for lunch on our way between Lebanon and Center Hill Lake to go boating. We dropped... on Sunday at lunchtime and we were seated right away. Our waitress was super helpful answering questions and making suggestions.My wife and I both had the grouper and fries fish and chips. The grouper was like butter! So delicious and the serving size wasway larger than I expected. A few items like the grouper they told us would be a couple dollars more than the menu price becausetheir menu was not keeping up with inflation. This was totally understandable and we were told in advance. The last time my wifeand I had grouper was in Tampa Florida and we paid two or three times as much for half the fish. My daughters both love theirmeals one of them having chicken strips and the other a chicken sandwich. The place is really cool. 2 years loyal customers and where treated unfairly. Basically if you get something from their menu that you as the customer... dislikes. If they say it?s fine then you have no say. Their calamari is mostly bread we disliked it. Didn?t eat it sent it back.They basically said screw your opinion. We are still being charged for it. I went here Saturday with a friend. My friend and I ordered the pork dumplings and pretzels and beer cheese. I wasn't a fan of... the dumplings but my friend enjoyed them. The pretzels were delicious. The bread had great flavor and the cheese was creamy andyummy. I ordered the chicken sandwich with broccoli. The broccoli was roasted and it was really good. It was crisp andflavorful. The bread of the sandwich was very good. However, the chicken was very rubbery, and no flavor and the picklestastes like they were dumped in chemicals. I had to send it back because it was inedible. My friend ordered the patty melt andshe said it was really good. She also ordered hush puppies and she was not a fan. I tried a bite also and was confused becausethey had corn in them. They were pretty much burnt and had no flavor. The manager was nice and took it off my bill but weprobably won't be back. We went across the street to get ice cream and was told many people have come in complaining about thefood at Ebels. Read more

I had a great time having lunch here! Service was fantastic and friendly, bartender made a *perfect* drink, and the food was... absolute perfection. Idk if the tartar sauce was homemade, but either way it's very good! I'll definitely be back to try otherstuff. Read more
