I went for a work event and the upstairs was beautifully renovated with lots of space. The staff did a great job and the food... was delicious. Read more

If you are in Carthage, you must dine at this amazing establishment. The rustic decor, comfortable, inviting atmosphere, and... culinary cuisine are exactly what makes this place a wonderful dining experience. I had the opportunity to meet these two lovelyladies, pillars of the community. We are a better America with ladies of this calibre. Thank-you for the unforgettable evening! Read more

I will start this review by saying that we have been to this restaurant many times and we always enjoyed ourselves. The... atmosphere is amazing! Because of that, I chose to book a very special party with them. Sadly, we did have a few less thandesirable experiences after I booked and I was trepidations about keeping the booking. However, after a meeting with themanager, who is an amazing, understanding person, all my issues were addressed and the party was an amazing success. Everybusiness goes through " growing pains" and change. It's pretty cool how honesty, patience and understanding can make thingsbetter. I would definitely recommend that you give them a try! ???????????????? Read more

We were a bit disappointed by this restaurant. Our drinks and the wings were good, but everything else was not so great. They... were understaffed (two waitresses on a Saturday night) and although the service was friendly, it took a long time. We waited 40minutes for our drinks and a little over an hour for our food. Our appetizer and entrees came at the same time. They were out ofthe only vegetarian option (that was not a salad) so we all got a pizza. The toppings were good, but the crust was raw at someplaces. One slice even entirely existed out of a dough bubble. Read more

We have dined at Zero Dock Street several times and have been well satisfied with our food and service. Last evening?s... experience, however, was a free fall; especially since we boasted about the place and had family visiting from Chicago and LongIsland. The onion tower appetizer was excellent with the dipping sauces. Our entrees, however, arrived luke warm anddisappointing. A chicken dish was eaten without much complaint. The haddock and shrimp was dry and the shrimp were far toospicy for the diner who likes spicy food. The three remaining diners had the twin pork chops which a few of us had had before. The chops were very dry and tough. The sliced red potatoes were cold and spongy. We skipped dessert. We were compensated forour beverages. We informed our server of the situation. Zero Dock is a good venue. We tossed our experience to an off night. We will go back again and will be hopeful of a redeeming experience. Read more

My husband and I went last night for our anniversary. The place is nicely decorated but the service was the worst I?ve ever... experienced. After being seated with our menus our waitress went and came back with water for us. We turned down adult drinksand then our waitress never came back! The two employees who were working walked past us several times serving other tables (itwas almost empty) and even cleaned up tables right next to us but never acknowledged us again. After waiting 20 minutes we justleft. If it takes that long in an empty restaurant to just get an order in, I wonder how long it would take to get food? It wasa really awkward situation. We went up to Stephano?s, had great service and a delicious meal! Read more

Great place! Great atmosphere. Beautiful scenery. The food was really good especially the cheese sauce for the pretzels. My wife... said her haddock was really good as well. My burger was ok (bottom bun was burnt and the burger a little dry) but I think theoverall score of the restaurant gets a five stars. The photo of the river is what the restaurant sits right on the shore of andyou can view it from the plentiful outdoor dining. Ate here again four months apart and I must say we had a nice time. Tuesdayevening and the atmosphere was nice and casual. I ordered the same burger and I must say the burger was better this time. It wasnice and juicy and wasn?t dry at all. The pretzels logs with cheese sauce was amazing still (though it seemed the sauce was alittle thin this time). All in all - I still give it 5 stars. Read more

Let me start by saying I?ve been wanting to try this place for months because I love independent restaurants. The atmosphere is... great, but that alone is not enough reason to go back. I really wish the food was deserving of the building and atmosphere. Therestaurant cleanliness was excellent. The entree presentation was very good. The only thing that that looked off was the friedhaddock. The underlying theme for all of the food was unseasoned or underseasoned which resulted in the food being basicallyflavorless. The pulled pork sandwich was by far the best entree and it was just okay. The best thing we ate all night were thesalads! The dressings were very good. The fish tacos? I love fish tacos because they are a fairly simple meal and are oftenbest when the dish is not too complex. The description of them being on hard taco shells sounded a bit different but I decidedto give them a try. When they arrived at the table they looked great! When I tasted them neither the chutney nor the fish hadany flavor. The chutney needed something sweet and the fish seemed to have been grilled without seasoning or salt at all. (Or ifit was I couldn?t taste it). My wife had grilled mahi-mahi with chutney also and a side of roasted red potatoes. Her fish andchutney were similarly flavorless and the roasted red potatoes seemed to be seasoned only by the oil bath they were swimmingin. My daughter had fried haddock and it was flavorless and overcooked. My sons pulled pork sandwich tasted like it was madein a crockpot. There wasn?t even the hint of wood flavoring to the meat. The homemade French fries were also absent anyseasoning. Salt, season salt, garlic or something would have saved these fries but they were also very oily. Read more
