Very busy before 5pm on Friday. Great atmosphere and the food and menu are really good. Service was a bit slow on first greeting... and clearing dishes from the table. Had to ask to remove used plates. A bit pricey but very robust flavors and preparations.Swordfish special was terrific. My wife had Amberjack special. She loved it. Wine prices very reasonable. We absolutely love the Appalachian Grill! Our favorite meal on the menu is their Namesake & there's always enough in their... generous portion to take home & have the next day! The Service is always Excellent & the Atmosphere Fun & Friendly. Restaurantis clean and the Bar area is nice if you just want a drink & lite food. We are already planning our next trip back! The food is absolutely delicious. They cooked my salmon to perfection! The shrimp bisque was delicious and we loved our sides of... brussel sprouts and collard greens. Also, despite being short-staffed, the service was amazing. Our server was super friendlybut also very efficient. We visited while travelling but will definitely go again if we have the opportunity! As of today, pricing on google is less than what is on the menu. This might require an update? The food was better than... mediocre, next time I plan to order something that I am not qualified to make for myself at home. The boyfriend enjoyed theshrimp and grits followed by a tasty desert. We might come back again in the next year. My waitress made me feel hurried to paythe tab. As we were working on desert she asked for payment but my boyfriend wanted to add a coffee. He quickly pulled out hiswallet with a mouthful of creme brulee.......I hated watching it. The scenario made my desert taste not so sweet!! Read more
This was the best place I have been to in Cartersville. The wait was worth the food. We shared a calamari, I had a salad and the... dish I included a photo of: bratwurst, kielbasa, scallops, and shrimp over crispy fried spinach and crispy potato hash. Read more
It's been a while since I gave 5 stars. We sat at the bar since we didn't have reservation and didn't want to wait for the... table. It was good service a MN d excellent food. Generous portion and good seasoning. My wife had blackened salmon withgrilled shrimp. I had smokey mountain trout. Although trout was pan-fried (not sauteed), it had good crispy crust and largefish! We really enjoyed our meals at the Appalachian Grill. The fried green tomatoes were excellent for an app. The house salad with... bacon vinegrette dressing was my favorite. Our entrees were also delicious. The only thing I do not like about this restaurantis that you cannot make a reservation. Read more
This place was absolutely amazing from the friendly staff to the warm atmosphere to the delicious food. We've been on cruises... with 5 star cuisine, and these dishes were right on par. Why anyone would give a negative review about this hidden gem in theheart of Cartersville is a shame. We will definitely be dining at The Appalachian Grill from now on...
