The staff first off was amazingly available without being overbearing. Kept our table clean and kept us inform of what we ate. I... order set two, while some in my party had set three which looked pretty amazing. Next time I will be dining at the bar. I woulddescribe the food in detail but it is better left unsaid for you to try. Read more

The sushi was absolutely amazing. Fresh, creamy, delightful: are a few words I can use to describe the taste and experience.... Kyodai sources their fishes from all over the world. To feast on various countries' delicacies provides for a enriching momentof your day. I loved the casual atmosphere and mixed with the, I'd like to think, fine dining experience. Highly recommended! Can we just a take a minute to thank Tony and his crew for the best experience every single time?! This is the second Kyodai... location in DFW, and I have to admit that the locations get better and better each time. My boyfriend always has a running jokeabout no ocean creature is safe from my plate (lol). Kyodai always fulfills my cravings for great quality sashimi, meat, andwell... everything. I am obsessed. The pictures never do it justice, and every time we visit, I'm too busy stuffing my face tostop for a picture :) You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This location constantly receives fresh fish shipments, soyou're getting some of the best quality that can be found in DFW. If you're open to anything, I highly recommend the UnizakiHandroll (I could easily eat that every day for the rest of my life). Go ahead and scan the online menu as soon as you get there(QR code) because you'll see several more selections that are not printed on the B&M menu. Side notes - Everything on the menucan be customized to how you want it (most if it is perfect though). If you're a big uni fan like myself, you'll definitely needto see which uni options they have available for the day. Their staple is Santa Barbara, which is always in stock, but they'llalso have Hokkaido and (if you're lucky) the coveted Murasaki. They also have really great quality meats; every time I'm there, they always have the A5 in stock. Always opt in for a sake too! They have Dassai 45 that pairs really well, along with BornGold (I believe). If you're not sure, Tony always has a great recommendation for anything :) Read more

Came here for salmon nights on Wednesday?s and definitely going back. A heads up it is busy on these days so try to make a... reservation and be mindful that service will be a bit slow since they have to attend to so many customers. Regardless service isstill quality and after placing our orders our food came quick. I ordered a salmon set with a salmon day drink. The lycheemartini I received was delicious and the right amount of sweet. I recommend starting with that order so you can taste thedifferent kind of salmon and see which is your favorite to order more of. I also ordered a lot of fatty salmon (my favorite outof all of them). The salmon with truffle hand roll was also a star for me and my date and we each ordered one more. For about$40 a person (including tip) we both left satisfied with salmon and drinks in our belly. 10/10 recommend for a treat yourselfdate night without breaking the bank. Read more

Salmon Wednesday is a great deal! Not all Kyodai locations participate in this. But this location in Carrollton offer it. It was... so packed when we were there so reservation is highly recommended. Most of the seats here are at the bar, they only have a fewtables. Food came out fast. The salmon was so fresh. I love all the items on the Wednesday's menu. The king fatty salmon, salmon in ponzu sauce, salmon handroll, etc. Their service is outstanding. So there was a hair inside my handroll, I told theserver. He apologized and said would bring me a new one. After we finished eating and got the check, they excluded all thehandrolls out of the check, which I did not expect them to do so but that was very nice of them. Read more

I went to the salmon special on Wednesday. While the special is very reasonable at $1 per piece for regular salmon sushi, the... fish is so thin that rice peaked through. I have to say it definitely take skills to slice the salmon as thin as it is! Anyway, the regular meal is good, and the fish quality is always good. Read more

Food is very delicious! Salmon night is a great concept! Win win for business and customers. The one star taken away because of... the extreme slow service! The food came out with some time gap in between, we had to check with the server to see if certainorder was coming. My miso soup was plain without seaweed, was told the miso soup is plain and if I want seaweed, they don?t mindgiving that to me; which was a little odd to me seeing other miso soups were prepared differently than mine. We loved the handrolls and Fatty salmon nigiri Read more

Had dinner her for my mother in laws birthday. We did the omakase. Which for those who don't know what that is, is where you... just eat whatever the chef makes you as a course. It's a chefs choice course meal. There is a soup and salad, and maybe I wantto say 8 courses of meals (maybe more or less) I can tell you the quality is superb and the chefs really have a good variety offish.( I know because I used to be a sushi chef ) and worked in the sushi restaurant industry for over 10 years. For the priceto quality ratio it is definitely worth it. Vibes kinda modern hip with that hint of Japanese interior. Service is definitely onpoint. They only had 2 servers running the place BUT the restaurant sync is on point. I'll give you an example. Normal aftereach course they clear your table of the previous plate then bring you the next. Once we finish and as soon as the next courseis ready but the server is busy at another table, the chef will see that and he will bring out the next to course personally. Wenever had to wait no longer then 3-5 min for the next course after we finished ours. I am also a pretty big eater. I am thekinds guy who goes to omakase and still be hungry after because they just give you like 8-10 pieces of fish. No they don't skimpput. They have oysters, otoro, Japanese wagyu, uni, caviar, Foie gras, all included into this course. I took a few pictures soyou can see. No I did not take a picture of every course. There's a lot. At the end they give you a dessert overall I give it 5stars. If i had to nit pick eh would love to see some prettier plates with this gorgeous food. Read more
