Reviews for Dumka Indian Cuisine in Carrollton, TX
I had a pickup at 5:50. I gave them a good twenty minutes to make a simple order. When I got there, I was told 5 more minutes.... Then they told me 10. Finally they admitted they had not even begun the order and it would be another 30 minutes. Ridiculous. It's a Thursday evening, Not Friday. The restaurant inside was empty which make total sense. This place is a joke, stay away ifyou're hungry Read more

I hate this place. I?ve tried to give them several opportunities to get better with time and every single time it?s a... disappointment. They have got to be the slowest food service that I have ever experienced in my existence. You would think theyare hunting their kill on the spot as long as it takes to get your food. The prices are stupendous to get such 1 star service. They are at the very bottom of the barrel when we are talking southeast asian food. I wouldn?t wish their food or service on myworst enemy. I?ve had elementary lunch food that taste better than this garbage. All the upgrades and fancy new little lightfixtures couldn?t make up for this horrendous experience. If you feel like wasting time and throwing money away I highly suggestthis place. Read more
Pulled in at about 1:30 pm and Sadly I was the only diner. Sad , because the entree I had was awesome and with food that great... this place should?ve had more people eating. I had the Chicken Tim Madala?WOW!!! And the naan was seasoned so well?DoubleWow!!! The plastic utensils were the only gripe?.but if it helps keep cost down, then it?s no biggie????????????I like thebottle of water at the table, so as to not have to be asking the server for refills. The food wasn?t at all like the pictures, and was not good to taste. It took almost an hour to get the food, and it gave a... feeling of being pre-cooked and reheated. Won?t recommend anyone dining here. The restaurant has probably used paid promotionsto show good ratings, it clearly not worth those stars. Read more
We?ve been on the hunt for a new go-to Indian spot since Wild Mirchi near us closed, and just happened to be driving by and... decided to stop in for dinner. This place is definitely a ?don?t judge a book by its cover? kinda place! They?re still quite newso there isn?t much yet to the dining room, but the food that came out was incredibly fresh and flavorful! The tandoori chickenis wonderfully moist, while the goat briyani was super generous and incredibly seasoned! Also worth nothing that the garlic naancomes out fresh and piping hot and pairs great with the chicken tikka masala. All in all, a wonderful dining experience and wewill definitely be back again! Indian music videos and the Buddha water fountain set the ambiance at this restaurant. The service is very friendly and the food... is good but a little different than we are used to which I attribute to just being a different regional style. We tried GobiManchurian, Chicken 65, Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala and all were good. The 65 was dark meat and a little tough. Theyonly have green chutney sauce and no tamarind but the waiter assured my wife it was OK to use the green instead?.hmm. Overalldecent and probably really good if this place is your style. p.s. bring silverware as the plastic ware warps drastically ifexposed to any heat. Also a serving spoon couldn?t hurt. Read more
