Let me begin by saying I watch carefully how I spend my money. I pay about 11.75 per week for one day for big bear's lunch... buffet. The rest of the time it is leftovers from last night's dinner. The selection of food is medium small for lunch, roughly6 rows of food and 2 small rows of Asian sweets; but I must say everything is delicious. I mean everything. The hot and soursoup is nice as well. They have a pretty decent sushi bar, raw and cooked. The service is great. Each time I get up to getanother plate, the old one is gone, or they are on the way to get it. I have never used the restroom there, so I can't speak onthat; everything else was clean and neat. Drove into town late at night, tired and hungry. Found this online so we decided to give it a try. Very pleasant surprise. ... Building is clean and newer. Food is constantly refreshed. Place was packed and even though they were getting close to close,no tray of food sat long. Good variety including sushi rolls. Several types of shrimp on the bar including boiled, fried,batter dipped, sauced, etc. Overall, Asian buffets are often subpar and cheap bulk food. This place is not the low end norm.Good food at good prices. If this were local to me I would eat here regularly. Definately worth the visit! Read more
Decided to try the buffet bar again it's been a while. They have raised the prices on the lunch buffet to 10.99 and the supper... buffet to 13.99 The food did not seem to taste as good as it had in the past and they did not have as large a selection. Sushihad a different taste also. Read more
I've been a loyal customer since this business opened. Tonight, after ordering a coke (my wife was sharing water with my... daughter), I was publicly humiliated by a waitress. She insisted that since my wife didn't order a separate drink, I had to payfor 2 cokes. Needless to say, they can take their $3 and will never recieve my business again. Read more
This restaurant is a hidden little gem for an outsider like me. I had the lunch buffet and was super satisfied. The Singapore... noodles are simply fabulous and set this buffet apart from the rest. The dishes are diverse and there are plenty of nutritousoptions. Service is friendly too and the food continuously came out fresh from the kitchen. Big Bear Asian Buffet has a large dining area with lovely decor. The dining area is clean and has both, tables & booths. Box of... gloves are at each food station & all staff wear masks. When we arrived, the food stations were full and immediately refilled.Our food was hot and we enjoyed each dish. Our final cost for Sunday's buffet and drinks were about $12 each. We will return! I love to give five stars and when we had a less than favorable time our first visit we decided to visit again to see if it was... an off night and unfortunately it seems to just be the location. I do have to start with the staff is very friendly and eager tohelp when seating you and keeping your drinks filled. The buffet is smaller so there are fewer selections but they keep themfresh and filled. The issues we had were with the tight table seating we believe possibly trying to maximize occupancy butmaking it difficult to just sit at your table comfortably when anyone else was seated at a table behind you. As well as thesushi bar and hibachi grill. The sushi was very limited and they seem to have a had time keeping it out. While flavors weregreat alot of it was the same so there also was not much variety in the limited selection they did offer. The hibachi grill wasnot running both times we visited, we had much hoped for it. If there are specific times and days it runs just an opinionpossibly post them a little larger for guests or on the door. Overall a great buffet to eat for traditional fried rice and theprices are affordable with friendly staff!
