Rise is definitely not what it used to be. The best thing about Rise was always the donuts but they decided to focus on chicken... and biscuits instead. You can still get donuts but the selection is limited and they are no longer displayed in a way that'seasy to see them. The biscuits are definitely good though -- maybe not quite as good as Neal's, but much better than Sunrise. And the beignets are very good as well. Another thing I don't like about Rise is that you have to order from a kiosk (or aheadof time on your phone or a computer). You can't just give your order to a person like a regular business. It's a pretentiousbusiness model. I still go to Rise on occasion but rarely am I jonesing for it. Read more
I LOVE this place. The bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits are amazing! The cinnamon rolls are really good too - the kind with the... glassy icing, which is my fave, not the thick, white icing. I haven?t had their other stuff but I hear the okra is good. Theyeven have a takeout ?locker? where your pick up order sits, WARMING!!!, until you pick it up. Genius idea. I hadn?t seen thatbefore. Super quick and delicious! These are the best biscuits I?ve had in a while and their righteous chicken is great too. The cheddar... biscuit isn?t gummy at all- just super flaky and light. The chunks of cheddar are baked so they?re sort of hard, but it adds agreat flavor! I got their righteous chicken biscuit and a vanilla donut for less than $10. It came out within a few minutesand it seemed like they had quite a few orders to fulfill. Read more

Great biscuit sandwiches! Quick breakfast or lunch spot with sitting outside. Definitely recommend and will be back. I was sad... that they do not have iced sweet tea there. Is it NC?well, they had prepackaged honest iced tea. The only drawback is parking. Idon't see any lots directly attached to the place, but there are public parking lots nearby. I was walking, so maybe there arespots in the back of the building. But food is really great. Read more
WOW! The biscuits (all flavors) are amazing! They were extremely soft and buttery on the inside, not flaky and dry like other... places. The coffee tasted like typical coffee. I got the biscuit and gravy, which had an open face biscuit, 1 sausage and wassmothered in gravy. Very tasty, but it was more expensive than the sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and I would probably getthis next time, since it had egg, cheese, and bacon. 4 stars because the doughnuts did not impress. The glazed was okay but thecreme brulee was slightly disappointing. I wished they would have put more cream inside. Would go for biscuits and meals, skipon the doughnuts next time! Read more
Great chicken biscuit. The cheddar cheese in the biscuit makes it delicious! The servings for their cheesy-tots are kinda... small, but they are good. Overall, good food even if it is a bit expensive. Would also be nice if they had more indoorseating... Read more
Best Apple fritter I?ve ever had and some of the best biscuits in NC. I can?t recommend this place enough!
