I placed an order to go and after waiting for a while asked bartender nicely when did she think it was going to be ready. She... said ?I don?t know? and literally walked away from me . Then, after waiting a while longer ( going on half hour wait at thispoint in not busy restaurant) I had to ask again as I had to be somewhere. She finally decided to see why it was taking so longand what do you know- my order was just sitting by the host stand without anyone doing anything about it. Rude and not caringbartender and for no reason whatsoever. If you don?t care about people and giving a great and respectful service - don?t work inthis industry. Read more
We were in town for a football game. Where we were staying recommended us to come here. When I first sat down I had a bug... crawl up my leg. We waited for over an hour and half for our food. No one came back to apologize and just say sorry we arebacked up. Finally when they brought our food out the manager came out with the waiter to apologize for the delay. While wewere eating we had 2 more bugs crawl across our table. I also requested my broccoli to be extra steamed and it wasn?t evenfully cooked. The celery was rubbery. Once we finished eating we had to wait another half hour for our check while otherscomplained about not getting their food and was immediately waited on, got their food and check. First I want to say I was shocked to see how many negative review you guys had already. Second I want to let you know about my... RACIST AND DEGRADING EXPERIENCE I had at your establishment. It was about 2:05. I called in my order. My order was taken verywell. YOUR BARTENDER WAS AMAZING BTW. I came in already waited over 45 min for an order. I stood by the bar where your bartenderdirected me. Karen came over and asked was I waiting on something. I THOUGHT SHE WAS TRYING TO BE HELPFUL. I said yes my to goorder bartender helped me already thanks. She looks at me and says standing there is not going to make it come any faster. Rollsher eyes and walks off and says ?BLACK PEOPLE?. She then came back out and said you can take a seat. The people around me lookedin shock and couldn?t believe how I was being treated. After I was already patiently waiting for an order without complainingwatching the game. She then proceeds around me grabbing the ticket and bumping me on purpose. Run your cameras it will show. Ihave never been so racially profiled discriminated against or targeted in my life. She needs to be fired for this behavior. Thisestablishment use to be my favorite considering you guys always messes up my order. I will never eat here again. Ordered online while staying at the attached hotel. Staff at the door not very friendly. Online order process was easy, and the... time was accurate. The description on the website (photo) is not what you get. I got the salmon and paid $19. I?d be thrilled ifit looked like anything in the photo. The portion is not worth the cost :/ but delicious. In the photo it?s sitting on a a cedarplank, so don?t mistake the size. Read more
We had visited this place when we first moved from Dallas 10 months ago and had a less than desirable experience. We decided to... try it again and had some of the best service ever. Bella (Isabella) made us feel right at home and was very personable. Thefood was great and the GM made a visit to our table. I?m a restaurant manager myself and appreciated that table touch. We were visiting from Florida and the Hickory Tavern was right next door to our hotel. This place is so awesome I can hardly... believe we were so lucky to have found it. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. Ithought it was a little pricey until I saw the huge portions!! Our server Adrian was absolute perfection. Excellent experience! Salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, cole slaw wasn't too sweet, and the tavern greens were great!... Tons of beers on tap! Went two nights in a row and ordered the same thing both times. Very consistent. Read more
Unfortunately this Hickory Tavern restaurant is only being held up by the hotel. The food is cooked to order but never correct.... A neighbor at the bar wished me good luck after the second attempt at my dinner. He knew, and so did I that it would beincorrect.
