As a vacationer at Carolina Beach, I asked someone at the aquarium where I could get really good, not fried, seafood. I was... directed here. Soul Flavor is an eclectic, chic restaurant with a cool vibe and a great menu. It's obvious the people whoown/run this place are true foodies. On top of that, the service was really awesome! My server was attentive, friendly, helpful, but didn't hover (that's a hard balance to find when waiting tables). I ordered the crab dip appetizer, the seafood Mac &Cheese (with grilled Mahi, shrimp, and scallops OHMYGOODNESS!), The mai tai cheese cake, and 2 white wine sangrias. My billcame to around $70, so a bit pricey. But it was worth every dollar. I even got to meet Snoop! ???? I cannot recommend thisrestaurant more! Read more

Had a really nice dine in experience. Hectic, friendly, busy and popular spot. Ordered the eggplant tacos, which had great... flavor, cooked perfectly, and awesome position size. Previously had the beet salad which is still one of my favorites. A greatspot to socialize, eat and drink. We stop every time we stay on Kure Beach. Read more

I had the Eggplant Parm and fettuccine Alfredo. It was very good. I also had the Yu-Mammi (Ithink that's the name) cocktail. I too was o'mazing!!!! The atmosphere was lovely!!!! 8.5/10 Read more

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at this intimate restaurant with great food and drinks. Our server, Autumn, was very polite. We were... visiting and killing time before fireworks show and Soul Flavor did not disappoint. We had crab dip, a burger (fresh cute frieswere so good) and chicken cutlets. I even indulged in a margarita which was so yummy. How could I forget about the fried oysters for our appetizer. They were amazing. Read more

Delicious, creative cuisine like no other. We really enjoyed our meal, including Street Beets, sweet n sour glazed potstickers,... chicken cutlets, and a generous kids portion of pasta. The fried green tomatoes, eggplant parm, and oysters also looked amazing. One negative aspect, which unfortunately made it a less pleasant ex per altogether: our waitress was inattentive at best. I truly appreciate restaurants that source their ingredients locally. Soul Flavor is one of those places. Tonight I enjoyed... "Marybeth's Eggplant Parmesan". Please see pic below. The eggplant was ever so lightly battered with what they describe ascrispy herb crusted (as opposed to breaded) and was topped with shaved parmesan. The marinara sauce was light and fresh tasting.I could have chosen to have the pasta with the same marinara but instead opted for the Alfredo sauce. When the food is thatfresh and delectable, I can't help but wonder how their dessert would be to finish off the meal. I was not disappointed! Thehomemade chocolate hazelnut pie, although extremely rich, slightly lighter in weight than fudge, was creamy and smooth. Theinterior had pictures of famous musicians in what could only be described as a soulful setting with soul / jazz playing softlyin the background. Read more
