Visited Salt Fish for the first time today. Everything I had was great. We had the smoked fish dip, poke bowl, fried cod bites... and shrimp. Their tiki cocktails were good too. Excellent food and experience! We didn't even make it off of the starter menu. You know a restaurant is good when all of the... starters look good. Make reservations as it is a small dining space. Philip was our server and he was great. Next time we'lltake on the entrees. Four starters one side and a bottle of wine for under $120. These days it's a deal for high qualitydelicious food! We visited Salt Fish on July 19 for a nice dinner on our first visit to Carolina Beach and had a great experience. The fish we... ordered was caught that day and the fresh flavor was accentuated by the cooking technique. My husband ordered the mahi and I hadthe swordfish. The wine selection was excellent as well. On a second visit, I would try a fusion dish as the menu had manytempting options. We also had the hummus as an appetizer, and it was very flavorful. Ashamed to say that last night was my first time here! I have always heard wonderful things about Salt Fish, but never made it... in until now. My friends and I loved everything from the ambiance to the wine and of course- the food! Brussel Sprouts werefantastic. Perfectly cooked Scallops, Shrimp wraps, and Saigon Noodles were our choices. We all walked away extremely pleased.Katie was super friendly, the chef checked on us, and our server was fantastic. Will definitely be one of my ?go to?s? as alocal here in Carolina Beach. This was by far our best meal of vacation! Everything was delicious, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was eclectic,... funky, and unique. Recommend the Blue Ring Octopus cocktail, Lettuce Wraps appetizer, Half Pineapple or Seafood Tom Kha entree,and the raspberry cheesecake dessert! 10/10! Read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior. It's not much to look at on the outside, but the food and drinks inside are delicious. It's a... small place, so reservations are vital. It may have felt tight for others, but we were at a nice bar-side table. The poke wasdelicious, as was the yellow fin tuna special. My wife wasn't thrilled with the Two Beaches, though it was fine, but we lovedthe Emerald Isle Martini. The Pineapple Fosters dessert was yummy.
