Excellent food. In fact it was the best tasting chicken fried rice I've ever had! However I'd suggest carryout as the restaurant... is not terribly clean and our water tasted strange. Five stars for food. Two stars for cleanliness of the dining room. Fivestars for friendliness of the staff. The red curry was quite good and my wife enjoyed her Pad See Ew. Pineapple Fries Rice was delicious! 10/10 would buy again. Next time however, I'll prob go with 1 or 2 on spice. I got a 3... tonight thanks to my wife...it's HOT. I had to wait for the temp to come down so I didn't get burned by heat and spice ???? Itreally is Thai Spicy if you want it that way. Ordered takeout. Our dinners were ready when they said they?d be. Staff was friendly and quick. The to go containers were... packed to the brim. The shrimp and chicken looked pretty good quality. Big veggies. The flavor was great. I ordered theHawaiian shrimp, chicken and rice meal. Made it medium spice. My husband ordered the Pad See Ew. Top notch! We hadn?t scoped out what we would eat when we got to the beach and this was a great find. Excellent service, fast... and first Thai food we could have in the last 18 months due to pandemic issues with restaurants in our home town. Can't wait to go back! Went there for the first time recently and will definitely be adding Ida Thai to my list of favorite... restaurants in the Wilmington area. I got the Spicy Basil Chicken(Pad Kraw Pow) and it was perfection. The flavors were boldthroughout the dish and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Not underdone, not over done, just right. The presentation wascolorful and the rice in the shape of a heart was a cute touch. We went to dine in and they were incredibly busy but we werestill seated right away. There were tons of take out orders going out and the phone was constantly ringing with more. But ourservice was still excellent. The waitstaff and the kitchen did an amazing job! Read more

We tried Ida Thai tonight for the first time at the recommendation of a regular customer and it did not disappoint. My wife and... I both chose typical dishes when eating Thai. She had spicy basil chicken and I had pad Thai. We both enjoyed the meal. The foodcame out quick despite the constant influx of to go orders coming in and out of the door. The wait staff was attentive too giventhe business. I enjoyed the Pad Thai and the heat level of 3 was just right for me personally wanting it hot but not wanting tobreak a sweat. I also thought the prices were fair and the portions large. We will definitely be back! Read more
Great spot for Thai food. Whenever I'm in town it's always a guaranteed stop. Several of my local friends are fond of it too,... often driving over from Wilmington to eat. Inside it's what you might call cozy. A dozenish tables are close, but there's enoughroom to slide the seats inside the brightly colored interior. I've always had a good meal from pad Thai, spicy basil to softshell crab. For dessert they have a delicious coconut cake. My favorite thing, is the charming heart shaped rice they servewith meals.
