Reviews for Nick Stoner Inn Seafood & Steakhouse/Special event Venue in Caroga Lake, NY
We love this place. They serve great food. The food has a beautiful presentation. We always have a nice time!
The food here is delicious definitely worth the high ratings they have received. The wait for the food and the infrequent... attention from the wait staff is another story. After waiting over an hour for our entrees not to mention 40 minutes for breadit's like there are two juxtaposed groups of people working here. I kept thinking about a sign facing me saying not to sit onthe nice pillows. Not to sit on them? Then I realized the bench I was sitting on got so uncomfortable that I needed to have acushion and why shouldn't I be comfortable isn't that what they want? Also they ask for patience as they are family run/staffedwhich my wife and I were. Very patient. Long story short the atmosphere is great until you hear others wondering where theirfood is or if they have been forgotten. The interior is very nice the staff are polite when they are around. I think theirhardest working employee was under 12 years old. It seems like they can only cook for one table at a time so if you are seatedbefore a large party is that's best. If your seated after a large party you'll be running out of conversation topics before youeat. The food is worth the trip and worth going back for just understand don't sit on the pillows be prepared to wait foreverything and be patient with the staff. This restaurant is very popular so make reservations. Read more
This was a pleasant surprise! Friends were looking for a spot where we could catch up after a couple of years. We weren't sure... what to expect; this is the 19th hole of the golf club. Our waitress was fun, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere wasrelaxed. The family style salad was generous and delicious (I am pretty picky about salad dressings). Our bread had just comeout of the oven. They didn't skimp on the entrees and everything was very good (grilled salmon, marinated flank steak, seascallops and jumbo shrimp on linguine, homemade fried chicken - not frozen). The menu changes each week. This is definitelyworth a try Read more
My expectations were very high when we came here. I love the atmosphere, really good music. The menu only has about ten select... meals, they make when you order. Nothing is precooked. When meal came, it was amazing! The steaks were really good cuts, cookedto perfection. We also had the seafood dish... Wow! I'm totally impressed! Read more

Was really excited to experience their food! Saw a fb post of weekend menu and upon arrival the lunch menu was very limited in... comparison to the fb post... we ordered chili dogs and fries (fries were amazing) the buns from the hotdogs were beautifullytoasted.. the hot dogs were ok qnd the chili was very tomatoe-y .. their mexican spinach artichoke dip was nothing but heat.. itover powered the real taste of the dip.. BUT the chips were AMAZING... .. just really sad we missed out on what looked likegreat seafood Read more
Early dinner with fall hours, French Onion soup wsz good, surprised with nice fresh salad and bread, my steak was cooked... perfectly. Too many fries to eat! Sautéed mushrooms were the perfect accent for the steak. My wife had the chicken andBroccoli Alfredo and it was awesome. We both had to bring some home. A nice surprise was a 2 person band named 'Deraeled'playing a bunch of great songs, not the usual hits, but the b sides (I know I'm dating myself). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselvesand sang along to many of them. Love that the Nick Stoner Inn is in business and continues to prosper! Read more
We delayed visiting the 19th hole way too long figuring it would be just another tiny golf course watering hole and nothing... special. Thus, why bother? Boy were we wrong! The place has been nicely renovated into a spacious restaurant with a greatBose sound system, super cool bar, and a great selection of brews and drinks. We stopped for lunch and the fried mozzarella, burgers, and fries were superbly hand packed, cut, and freshly prepared. We'll definitely be back again for dinner sometimesoon. Definitely don't wait to give it a try as well! Read more
