took long time for waitstaff to recognize we were there. we were the only ones in the inside dining area.took too long to get... french onion soup (15minutes)and the meal also took a long time.the meal my wife got was not what she ordered menu said the mealcomes with bread and butter had to ask for it and they had to heat it up and had to ask fot it so i could have with themeal.spoke to mgr/owner and he seemed un interested just said sorry and left. not a good experience and won't be going back. Really enjoyed this place. Food is great. It is real food and not standard fanfare processed food found elsewhere. We had... great service. Very comfortable atmosphere, I loved the wood work, layout, like how the dining area is separate from the bararea, sound levels were great, not too loud and lively even on a quiet evening.. You just have to go and experience. Ate fromthe specialities menu, had the hunters stew, son has the stuffed cabbage. Enjoyed them both. We will go back again soon. Veryhappy to found this place. Nice place with good food, giving 4 stars only because the service was a tad slow, it seemed a bit understaffed when we were... there and it seemed to take longer for the food to arrive but, overall, we enjoyed the outdoor dining and the food and theexperience were good. Ok so i have been living in Mahopac for over 10yrs . I always wanted to try Northwood inn... so i did today. I had the Blackened... porkchops. And my wife had the polish platter. Porkchops were good . My wife wasn't Crazy for the stuff cabbage, but i guessits a hit or miss. I tried it, for me it was ok. now as far as the service .
