Reviews for Vivante French Eatery in Carmel, IN
Service was great and the food was wonderful! Portion sizes are great for the price and everyone was really friendly. This is... definitely our new favorite place for brunch! Read more
This is a good restaurant. The piano being played in the hotel lobby can be heard downstairs as well adding to the... ambience. There aren't too many vegetarian or vegan options to choose from, which is disappointing, but the very limitedoptions taste good. We loved our Ratatouille. It was piping hot and delicious. Overall a good place for a date night, if youare not a vegetarian/vegan. Read more
The only reason why we're giving this wonderful restaurant 5 stars is because 6 stars wasn't an option. Miss Raven's service was... legendary. Miss Jerica was an excellent hostess. Dylan made us such creative blackberry crème margaritas. Zach made us the mostdelicious vegan chickpea curry pumpkin squash soup (quite possibly the best soup I've ever had). I loved my coq au vin ????. Myhusband's canard aux bleuets ???? ???? was out of this world, and our desserts stole the show. We shared a tarte aux fruitscrème brûlée ???? and a dark chocolate vanilla crème soufflée. Even my French press café and his thé aux oranges ????were perfect. All in all, this anniversary dinner was even better than our Thanksgiving dinner in Paris????. And did I mentionthat we are both language teachers and accomplished chefs? Update: We've been back twice since our original review (and we alsoordered room service once more), and every time, the food and service were flawless. Miss Heather and Miss Serena providedtop-notch service, Miss Alex made us a delicious Gogi berry tea, and the food kept getting better. This morning my husband'ssteak-frites ???? was better than the one we had in Paris, my saumon au beurre meunière was perfectly cooked and seasoned, andour crêpe Suzette ???? was to die for. We really enjoyed our conversation with Mr Eric as well. All in all, every detail wasperfect, and the entire staff treated us as if we were the most important people in the world. Read more
Inside the Carmichael Hotel which is beautiful. We had breakfast on the patio - a lovely quiet spot in the shade. Great service,... nice menu, good food and excellent value for money. Read more
This place was cute and the food was pretty good. I had the crab cake Benedict. It was slightly bland, but again not bad either.... The server was very nice. A bit pricey Read more
the staff at the hotel has always been amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. My average rating is just based strictly on food.... Wondered down to the restaurant one day to get some breakfast and was underwhelmed by the French toast. Coffee was great though! Read more
I was so excited to try this place and planned a special ladies night with another mom who was also excited to try this place.... We?ve all had a tough year and half and a night out was in order. We picked this place because we wanted something fancy and theprice point was on par for restaurants like St. Elmo but we didn?t want to venture downtown. We had a 6:45pm reservation andunfortunately were late due to our Uber but they were accommodating and still sat us which we appreciated. However, we ended upbeing a little underwhelmed with the food. We were expecting top notch French food for the price and it just seemed okay. Weloved the service and are happy to pay more but it didn?t meet the mark. We?d definitely be back for the drinks at the bar withour new friend Dennis and maybe try the food again but I think we were just hoping for better. Pros: great atmosphere Cons:overpriced Please step up the food game! Read more
