Best Indian food on the north side ???????? service was fine, food was great and ambiance was nice. Only suggestion would be to... play some Punjabi or Hindi tunes throughout the place. ???? Read more

Repeat customer. I ordered something different this time and it was.... not good. Veg Manchuria and veg fried rice were not at... all like you get in India or other Indo-chinese restaurants. Tikki chaat was a joke and more expensive than the grill across thestreet. Read more

Awful Goat Biryani. It was a Chinese fry rice with meat. Who add carrots, bell pepper and stir fry onion in biryani. And on... feedback, manager behavior was very rude. Very very disappointed with the food quality and the customer service. Read more

I walked in, hostess greeted me, & showed me to a booth & walked away, never said anything. (As the hostess was seating me two... other people walked out telling me with a smile, "We give up.", I just knodded with a smile). Restaurant had only one familysitting in the back, around 5-6 people in their party & me, restaurant is huge, a lot of chairs, but hardly any people. SitaraIndian Restaurant (Not Good)???? 13080 Grand Blvd, Carmel, IN 46032 At my seat, I waited TEN MINUTES, hostess finally comesto my booth, pointing at the QR Code on the table & asks, "Did you scan the code for the menu?" I said, "No.... OK, I'll do itnow." I'm not used to scanning QR codes for menus, so I had to download one in the restaurant, at my booth. QR code was notworking, so I waited for the hostess to come back to me to give me a menu. Unfortunately, I waited another TEN MINUTES & gaveup, & walked out, finding another Indian restaurant 5 minutes away (Amber Restaurant (This is Much Better)???? 12510 NMeridian St, Carmel, IN 46032) Amber Restaurant was the complete opposite, staff was nice, cordial & professional, & food wasgreat. I spent $40 at Amber. I will NEVER go back to Sitara in Carmel, Indiana. Read more

Probably some of the best Indian food I've had in the Indy / Carmel area and I've been to the top restaurants. I had the butter... chicken with Garlic Naan and it was truly spectacular!! Will definitely be coming back as well as ordering take out. Spice levelI ordered was medium and it was exactly what I expected. My two gripes with the restaurant was that one the service was a bitslow to bring me the check after I was finished. Second I felt like it would have been nice to have a glass of water rather thana water bottle - I tend to drink a lot of water with Indian food so this would have been helpful! Not enough for me to dock thestars because the food was just that good. Highly recommend if you're a fan of Indian food - price and quality is steps abovethe other nearby restaurants... Read more

HARDLY ANY CHICKEN IN THE MAIN DISHES Full Review: Confusing layout when you first walk in. No host stand or sign about... seating. Multiple people walked in and seemed unsure of where to go. Two nice seating areas though, each with a TV and music. Awaiter sat me after a few min and brought over a bottle water which was nice (Due to covid maybe?). I gave him my order a fewtimes, as he left to find paper and we went back and forth a few times to confirm my requested dish. Oddly, another waiter cameback by to confirm it about 10 minutes later. The original waiter came back out with some complimentary papadum and 3 differentchutneys (onion, mint and tamarind), all of which were pretty good. Entree arrived approximately 20-25 min after entry. Iordered Karahi Chicken with naan. Could have been the luck of the ladle or their normal chicken to veggie/sauce ratio, but therewas VERY little chicken in my dish. Maybe 10-12 small bite pieces, equal to 1/4 - 1/3rd of a chicken breast. Taste was not thenormal Karahi chicken I'm used to, but every place is different so I cant say whether most people would find it good or bad. ButIt wasn't exactly what I was looking for in a Karahi Chicken dish. Rice was tasty, but came out around room temperature, I guessI expected it to be warmer but it wasn't bad at all. I'll go back to check out some other dishes. Hopefully I'll get morechicken in my next order. Will update if so. :) UPDATE: Went back. Tried a couple more dishes. They all still have VERY littlemeat. Other reviews mention this as well. I've downgraded this from a 3 star to a 2 star. There are plenty of fine restaurantsin town. I would suggest trying one of those instead. Read more

Great food & atmosphere. Customer Service was basic and inside temperature was cold. Owner has previous experience so this place... definitely ranks top two in Indy. Try it! :) Read more
