Usually I give good reviews, but this is not going to be a good one. I was in Barnes & Noble in Westfield/ Carmel last evening... and ordered my favorite drink. I asked for iced, sugar-free and decaf. I told the batista 3 times as I was ordering. Then afterI paid she was writing on the cup what I wanted in my drink. I reminded her again about decaf. My daughter went up to pick up mydrink when it was ready, brought it back to our table and asked me "Mom didn't you order decaf?" I told her yes, but the batistadid not write D on the cup. Long story short I cannot have caffeine and I was up until 8am this morning and even after that Islept fitfully because my heart has still been racing all day. And also, the bathroom needs some lovin' (cleaning) @ thislocation. I started going back to the Carmel/Westfield location again around 4 months ago. The grout around the trash can on thewall has alot of fungus. Someone did clean the grout by the hand dryer, but the wall below there is still nasty. And also aroundthe sink area and on the floor @ the base of the sink area. Like I said, I started going back to this location 4 months ago andI use the handicap stall. This whole 4 months the wall by the toilet has not been cleaned. There is poop all over the wall bythe toilet paper holder and probably on the hand rail. And it's been there the whole time I've been going there these last 4months. Very unsanitary. I'm gonna start going back to the Barnes & Noble in the fashion mall area. Their bathrooms are clean.I've seen a janitor working there. Like I said, I normally give good reviews, but sometimes you just gotta call it like you seeit. Read more
Love having a local bookstore to look around in. Plus games, puzzles, and gifts and you can grab a Starbucks. There are always... some great finds in the bargain book section. Plus new releases, staff picks? a lot of price ranges and titles. And if theydon?t have they can order it for you. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Plus you can bring your puppy! Always a great place to shop. I was there on Christmas Eve and the line was getting long, so an employee started checking out at... the center kiosk for card purchases only and it was brilliant. Thanks to that quick thinking employee who saved a LOT of peoplea huge wait. Read more
I came to find a book to read quickly that would give me a quick and useful teaching, but I did not expect the offers and the... greatness of this bookstore. I LOVE ALL!!! especially their starbucks! I tried some chocolate peanut butter cookies, and tomy surprise all the pumpkins coffee came out. if you love books you must visit this place !! Read more
