Should have been at least a 4 star, but had to bring it down because the seafood pasta was not as described in the menu. ... Instead, it only had two shrimps and half of a lobster tail. Where were the clams, mussels, fish? Forgot to put them in? Service was great! Pizza and tomato salad both were delicious. It is unfortunate that we felt cheated coming out of therestaurant????. La Bicyclette is the type of place that magically transports you to some other country once you?re inside (then again, it does... seem to be very intentional about that). Every bite of food we had here was amazing, but it was Parisian gnocchi that stole theshow: my wife and I had never had gnocchi with such a soft, perfect texture. Magnificent food but even better customer service. Front door greeter told me 2 hour waiting and I did see the list reflected... that. But waiter noticed my family of 4 was very hungry and moved some tables around for us to be seated right away. The onlyway I can dricribed their pepperoni and mushroom pizza is ; untamed flavors from the sauce to the dough, mushrooms harvestedfrom the garden of Eden its self. This French-inspired bistro has incredible food. We shared a salad and a soup to start, both were really good. The actual... entrees were definitely the highlight of the experience though. We ordered the spinach gnocchi (which was incredibly soft anddelicious), as well as three pizzas (Salumi, Pepperoni, and the Andrew Molera). This pizza is some of the best wood-fired pizzathat I?ve ever had. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was moody and European. Solid European restaurant in the heart of Carmel-by-the-sea. Great service, cute decor and nice ambiance. We ordered the... Linguine Pescatore and a Champignons pizza, and it was more than enough for the two of us. Pizza was nice but dang, the linguinewas one of the best I've ever had! Super creamy and savory, and it's easy to over salt the dishes with seafood but they got theseasoning down to perfection. A bit pricier than the neighboring restaurants but I 100% recommend the place! Read more
