Loved this Mexican restaurant in Carmel. Everything we ordered tasted great except the churros! We sent them back twice but each... time they did not taste right. They were way too heavy and did not have that crispy texture on the outside and light and fluffyon the inside that is common for great tasting churros. I would definitely return to this restaurant as the service was greatand the food tasty. Read more

We typically get drinks and starters here at the bar. Probably requires reservations to get seated for dinner. The chips are... addictive. Ambiance is on point ???? Read more

We had the grasshoppers, queso, cultura mole, steak, and churo fondue. Grasshoppers are tangy, no bad. Queso was great!... Cultura mole was really good, I enjoyed the orange slices. Steak was pretty basic, not flavored well but had a nice sauce thatit was in. Churo fondue needed to be just the churo with more cinnamon and sugar, chocolate was overpowering. Service waspretty terrible for the first 90 mixtures of our 120 minute stay. Make sure you have plenty of time to kill and order 2cocktails at a time ???? Read more

Went here a couple weeks ago in the afternoon. Loved the ambiance and all the decorations (loved the spine of cow/goat at the... host station, and other pictures/paintings). They had a lot of vegan and gluten free choices, so it was a plus for me and myfriends. I had the pork cheeks mole, it was creamy and had a bit of warmth; but It did need salt and a tad more seasonings. Thepork cheeks were very tender, and I liked the way they put the mole in a small ????, very cute. I did ordered escapeces on thesides to add a bit more flavor (and salt ) to the mole. I liked their house made corn tortillas. The drinks were a bit toosweet for my taste, but the flavor were there. A bit pricy, but understandable since its downtown Carmel. Would come back justfor the ambiance alone, hopefully I'll get to try the vegan dishes. Read more

Great food and ambiance. Definitely try the fried plantain taco, as the waiter described it ?it?s a dessert on a taco?. Really... surprised with how good it was as well as the barbacoa and carnitas tacos. You can tell the ingredients are very fresh. Read more

Portions sizes are small but enough. Really good and fresh tortillas. Extra order $ 0.5 each. Pork mole was delicious. Must... have. At the end of the meal, we received tiny cups of oaxacan hot chocolate which was extremely tasty. Read more
