Reviews for LEGOLAND California Hotel in Carlsbad, CA
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME ?except for a few small quirks. 1. We loved the laid back atmosphere vs a Disney property. It definitely... feels family friendly. The main lobby has 3 separate Lego pits where the kids can build, climb and play. One pit is dedicated toyounger kids. 2. The hotel room was designed for kids as well as adults. Smaller toilet seat opening, second lower peep hole, treasure box and container of Lego?s that belong to the room 3. Breakfast was included with room and was buffet style withplenty of options. Juice seemed a little watered down. Overall quality food with enough varied for everyone. Some things I wishwere different: 1. On-site market for toiletries, snacks, drinks etc 2. Would be nice for the hotel to have a standaloneentrance to the park Read more
Pretty cute hotel, loved the elevator surprise disco! Lots to look at. Make sure you do the Treasure Hunt! Very pricey 2 day... vacay, but the kiddos had a blast and hey that's why we do it! Dad and Mom enjoyed it as well. Great weather in Carlsbad! Read more
The Legoland Hotel is the PERFECT addition to a Legoland vacation for families with young kids! My son has loved vacationing... here for the past six years and always looks forward to returning. It?s an incredibly convenient location to the park - rightoutside the front gate. Breakfast is included with your stay and the options are endless. The pool is fun and full of kids - thebest way to unwind at the end of a long day of walking around the park. Rooms have a separate kids area with bunk beds and theirown tv and door to close it off from the adults area. Always generous with the coffee and juice in the room for the entirefamily. Kids enjoy a scavenger hunt in the hotel to open a safe with a special surprise in their room. No detail is spared inthe Lego decor throughout! Do yourself a favor and book two nights! Love this place! Read more
I was impressed with these hotel and they have set the standard for cleanliness for other hotels. Bathrooms in the lobby were... cleaned every 15mins. In the hallways leading to the rooms they vacuum and steam the carpet. Safety is definitely there numberconcern for their guest. There checking in can be done by calling them. Or if you booked directly through them by email. Theyhave a valet parking for $30 dollars or self parking for $25. They have a play area for the kids while you wait for the room tobe ready. They also have a bar area for the adults. The rooms have bunk beds and allow kids to do a treasure hunt throughout thehotel and win a price in the combination chest. They do offer treats such as juice boxes, hot chocolate for the kids and Coffeefor the parents in the room. The kids have their own area with a TV in the room. Our room wasn't deluxe so there was no doorfrom our bedroom to theirs. It was all open space. The bathroom didn't have a fan. They also have a dance party which is amazingand the kids absolutely loved it. There breakfast was one of our favorite things. They have food for all kinds of people andchildren. Read more
A big YES! to staying at the Legoland Hotel. Our kids ages 2.5, 6 and 9 absolutely loved it, and we are so glad we chose it over... just another hotel. The kids were crazy for the bunk beds, room decor, treasure hunts, elevator dance parties, magic show atthe Pirate Ship and definitely the breakfast. My husband and I like how the hotel was so kid-friendly and had built inkid-sized toilet seats, step stool and low sink. The self-serve breakfast has tons to choose from. Show up on time to yourbreakfast reservation, especially if you come on Thurs-Sunday. One morning we were late to breakfast and after waiting 30minutes in line, we were told to go to the back of the line and make a new reservation. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes. The kids played at the pirate ship while my husband waited in line. But they were hungry and the 2yo was getting cranky, sodon't be late. Overall, it was a great experience, and I hope we can return in the future. Read more

To be honest, I did not expect to rate the LEGOLAND hotel so highly, but I felt the need to do so after our stay last week. We... were in a basic hotel in San Diego before this, and Disneyland after, but my kids (ages 5 and 8) are still talking about theirone day at LEGOLAND and night in the hotel as their favorite. It's like they consulted a parent on what a hotel room needed forkids and actually implemented it. A step stool by the sink; liquid soap for easy hand washing; toilet seat that can accommodatelittles. The kids had their own little section of the room where they played with the in-room LEGO set and watched LEGO shows ontheir own little TV. I was SHOCKED at how comfortable the bed was! We paid for the dinner buffet and my only complaint was theyPACK you into those seats so I felt like I was on top of 2 other families. The food was surprisingly good. I was shocked thatbreakfast the next morning was INCLUDED! The absolute best part was the dance party in the elevators. The kids were sodisappointed when we went to our Disney hotel the next day and they didn't have this! Oh, also check-in and out was SO easy. Wepulled up and the valet took our car so we could go straight to the park. When we needed it we just sent a text and our car wasback! Bell services was fantastic. Read more
