I love when the spot lets me split my choices on a two-taco plate. Puerto does that and so much more, all for $13 bucks. Their... shrimp are fire?so is the creamy green salsa, so be warned!! Fun atmosphere, a dozen other cafes to choose from, if somehowMexican can?t meet your needs. Picnic tables, nice and chill place to let the kids make their messes. ???? Read more

Loved the El pastor but the birria Quesotaco was bit too greasy and fatty for me. Quick and friendly service. Hot sauce was not... that hot but had good flavor. Read more

I was born and raised in Carlsbad, but moved up to the Bay Area many years ago. I come down here to visit my dad about once a... year, and the first thing we usually do is go to Juanita's in Encinitas so I can get my beloved 3 Rolled Tacos. I dream about 3rolled tacos! I am 99% vegetarian, but occasionally I will make an exception - especially for 3 rolled. Some places have startedmaking potato rolled tacos, but they are hard to find (especially in North County). Well - cut to this past weekend, I was intown and shortly after arriving I was hungry but wasn't sure I wanted to deal with the construction and re-doing of that stretchof 101 going thru Leucadia and Encinitas to get to Juanita's. Google Maps led me to the Windmill Food Hall, which I didn't evenknow existed!!!! I discovered El Puerto Street Tacos, looked at the menu and saw potato rolled tacos, and was SOLD! I zippedover there in 5 minutes. WOW they were SO Good, the green salsa was super spicy and delicious, and tortillas are made on site! Ibrought them back to my dad's and he had a bite and was so impressed! I went back a second time two days later! I am SO HAPPY Ifound this place and this will definitely be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in town!!! Read more
