I wanted to try somewhere new and made a great choice at this place. When I walked inside I thought it was more of a bar than a... restaurant, but they did have some tables. The place was very clean inside. The bartender took our order and I asked for hissuggestion for sandwiches. Said the owner is from Philadelphia and they make a great Philly cheese steak sandwich and theirmeatball sandwiches are very good. So that's what we ordered. Both sandwiches were great. The Philly cheese steak was the bestI've had on the west coast and maybe on the east coast too. The ribeye meat was tender and flavorful and the bread was verygood. It is a True Philly cheese steak with cheese wiz. It was great. The meatball was one of the best meatball sandwiches I'vehad in a long time. The meatballs were soft and tender, melting in my mouth tender. Again, the bread was soft and very good.They put the marina on the side, like a dipping sauce, a very good sandwich. My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich, which shesaid was very good, everything tasted good and fresh. My grandson ordered a kids menu cheese burger and that was better thanmost places burgers.. I enjoyed eating here! For a Friday night, it wasn?t very busy, which was actually nice. We got the Tombstone burger and the... special, the Baltimore Pit Beef. American Heroes and Brew immediately hooked me and became my favorite place to go as a Carlsbad local. Breakfast, lunch, or... dinner, The FOOD here is out of this world!! For someone like me, who is a picky eater, and loves a good sandwich or fries,they never ever disappoint. Not only are they tasty, but you can tell the quality of the ingredients the kitchen uses to cook,and they really care about what they put out for their guests. The beer on tap is solid, lots of local brewery options, andlight beer and seltzer options in bottles and cans too. There is seriously no better place to watch sports in Carlsbad, theyhave nearly every sports package on TV, and this place is especially fun on NFL Sundays where they have all the TV?s playingdifferent games! They also play games with the sound on the speakers for bigger events, otherwise the music is always onpoint. Some of my favorite sandwiches are the Manhattan as a Reuben, the Philadelphia, the Brooklyn meatball, and the MiamiCuban sandwich. I?m also a fan of their adult chicken tenders, served with lots of chicken and fries (because what adult doesn?tsecretly want chicken tenders, let?s be real?). Save some room for the Cheesecake or Key Lime Pie, it?s unbelievably good andhomemade! The owner clearly puts his heart and soul into this place, and introduces himself on the floor while serving patronsand telling the story of this locally owned establishment. The loaded fries are delicious and come with all sorts of toppings,and can come with an awesome house gravy and Loco Moco style. If you?re looking for really healthy options, the Salads will mostdefinitely satisfy, Strawberry Fields is a fan favorite among my friends I bring here. What a fantastic place for breakfast in Carlsbad. Breakfast was affordable. No wait for breakfast in Carlsbad is hard to find.... The food was terrific. I had the Bluffton. The chicken was very tender and the sausage gravy I had was delicious. Would highlyrecommend their breakfast menu. They don?t have a lot of pictures on the menu. I?ve been to this restaurant multiple times , adelight time I try something different. The sports are awesome here. You can catch every game and they?ll turn on whateveryou?d like. On Sundays American Heroes & Brew has every NFL game. If you?re looking for sports on a weekend in Carlsbad thisspot has ton of TVs and all the games. We loved our stop here on our vacation! They had GREAT service, the space was very clean, and the food was amazing. They even... had some genuine Wisconsin brats (our home state) options as part of their specials. We recommend the loaded fries or theCarlsbad Sandwich.
