Reviews for The Mucky Duck Restaurant in Captiva, FL
Restaurant is in the best spot to catch the beautiful beach sunset! They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Staff were super... friendly. Food was good and their rum punch is pretty tasty! Parking can be tough as their parking lot fills up but they dooffer a parking attendant that offers assistance. Definitely add this to your dining spots if you are in the area! Read more
My family has come here for 30+ years. It?s my favorite restrung on the island with super fresh sea food and a great vibe! We... had our best scallops on our trip here and the bisque is incredible! Highly recommend! Read more
Wonderful location. Enjoyed the option to grab a cheap reasonable drink while waiting for a table. Definitely a long wait, even... for a weeknight. Parking was tough to find as lot wasn?t very large. I?d recommend riding a bike, walking or driving the golfcart as many did if you have the option. Crème brûlée was very good. Knocking off a star as I don?t really think the food wasworth the price, but the location was nice and I enjoyed being able to sit and watch the sunset. Read more
Great place for lunch! Outdoor & indoor seating, but preferred outside because of the views, the breeze and the atmosphere.... Drinks you get yourself at the bar (there is one inside and outside), parking is limited so come early and food was good! Whenyou have a place with such a great location, sometimes the food can be subpar but they get away with it because of where theyare. This is not that place. I can only speak to the lunches, but it's always enjoyable. Yes, it is a little touristy because ofits location, but not to an annoying degree like some places can get. Highly recommend this stop, it is always on our list ofplaces to hit while we're on the islands! Read more
PET FRIENDLY on their patio, which is right next to the beach. Friendly servers, fun, English vibe inside (we dined on the... patio). I liked the separate bar service outside with a good selection of spirits and beers. Had the BBQ Bacon-wrappedshrimp-it was a good dish, but it was so hot it melted the Styrofoam plate it came on. So, serving on a different dish wouldhelp with the presentation value a bit. Main dishes we had were the Grilled Pastrami & Pesto, which was served Panini-style andwas very tasty. The melding of melty flavors was a nice lunch option. My wife had the fresh-catch Crispy Grouper Sandwich, which was awesome. Seemed like it was breaded in Corn Flakes, but it made the "crunchy" part of the dish stand out. It was sofresh & flaky, and the tartar sauce provided just was the best compliment. It was about a 1/3 of the size of a big PorkTenderloin sandwich you'd find at the state fair, but it was great. Highly recommend, especially if you're on the way toBowman's Beach! Read more
Beautiful views from the outside patio of the beach and sunset. Highly recommend sitting outside. The food was ok, nothing too... special. The service was not good. Asked for water upon being seated - told to get it from the bar. Slow service, but when foodcame - no cutlery. Told to pick it up by the door. Didn?t see our server till end of night when she dropped off check. Notfriendly, almost dismissive. Parking was terrible - only 15 spots or so in a very busy place. My advice? Come for theview/drinks, grab food elsewhere. Read more
My husband and I went to the Mucky Duck on our honeymoon in December of 2021 as a recommendation via my parents who also came... here on their honeymoon 30 years ago. Spectacular food & stunning view. We had the BBQ Shrimp, Red Snapper special, Key LimePie, and the Caramel Apple cheesecake! Service was prompt, attentive, and food came quick. We LOVED this stop! If you?re goingto try this place - come early to get a seat for sunset! It?s a very popular spot! Read more
Overall a solid place! The food was delicious and you can taste the quality that very well sets them apart from your normal... seafood chain restaurant. The environment is gorgeous as well! Beautiful to see the sunset! Read more
