What a treat to have a real good, delicious all meat pizza. It had lots of meat. The medium was perfect size for the two of us.... Maybe too much. We started with the Greek salad to share. But don't ask for extra dressing, it costs you $2 extra. What's wrongwith this is that the dressing was in a small cup with a large sized salad. It probably is enough for a dinner salad, but notfor a larger salad. Wrong approach for making people happy campers. But given that, we had a wonderful time eating there and thestaff took care of us. The drinks were good and tasty. The tap beer was looking good, too! I would definitely recommend eatinghere. You can even make your own choices of sauce and toppings. A great pizza spot with a wonderful view. We ordered the local boy medium pizza and it was the perfect amount of toppings,... cheese, and sauce. The Greek salad was plenty for two people to share. We substituted goat cheese for the feta and thedressing was just right. We enjoyed the Black Sand Margarita and local beer. The drink was a good size and a perfect end toour night. Read more
Food was great and staff was friendly. I was traveling with a traditional pizza person so I didn't go to crazy on the choices.... But they had quite the menu and I would for sure go crazy if I could and choose some of the odd pizzas. The sauce was veryexcellent and I feel I could of been been eating this place for days without food boredom. The view was excellent when sittingoutside. I had a gecko and the ocean to entertain me with a nice breeze. I bet this would be an awesome view at sunset. If youlik pizza then go! Oh, I didn't get the canole as I'm allergic to chocolate. This is the 2nd time we stopped at Black Rock Pizza while on vacation at the big island. This restaurant does not disappoint!... Great food, great service and excellent views! We ordered a personal sized BBQ chicken pizza and the pepperoni rolls, both wereamazing and plenty of food for 2! Craft cocktails and local beers topped it off! I highly recommend this restaurant if you arelooking for great pizza! Read more
Hands down best pizza, price and atmosphere on the west side of the Island. Well worth the drive from Kona for dine and we have... made the drive several times for take out! Does not disappoint! If you get lucky eat outside for a nice view. If you do sitinside there?s a lot of funny signs on the wall to read. Drink are also good here! Read more
The pizza was perfect in every way.... taste & texture of crust, fresh & flavorful red sauce, right amount of toppings,... stringy, toasted delicious mozzarella cheese topping. We had a mushroom, spinach, black olive & banana pepper medium pizzathat was fantastic, filling meal. Service was very good and the signage inside & in the restroom made me chuckle! So sad wedon't have one of these where I live! Read more
Pizza came out quickly and was so delicious I nearly fainted from delight. Cheese? Perfectly gooey. I asked for the cheese to be... brown because I'm weird like that, and they complied and made it spectacular. The rest of my party enjoyed their pizzas as well,complimenting both the crust and the sauce. My picky Italian father-in-law was highly approving of this place, which is saying alot! I will definitely be coming again. EDIT: I visited again for lunch with my brother and my wife, and had once more the mostamazing cheese pizza on the planet. ???????????? Everything was great! We had half Hoi Boi and half Kanak Attack. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also had... the Pepperoni Rolls and THEY WERE EPIC! Seriously, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Happy Eating! Read more
