Reviews for The Lobster House in Cape May, NJ
Looking to host an event, look no further!!!! My husband and I hosted our wedding at the Lobster House in October. Not only was... Sarah incredibly helpful, but she made sure our day was perfect. The pricing and flexibility made planning this wedding abreeze. We cannot recommend the Lobster House enough for any events you need to host. Not to mention their food is out of thisworld. Read more
Love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid, every Summer. The food never fails, always delicious!!! The scallops... are SO TENDER! I brought my boyfriend here for the first time and out of all the places we've visited in our 3 weeks here thissummer, this was his favorite. Read more
This place was suggested to me by a good friend who lives close to The Lobster House. I was looking very forward to having... dinner here. After an hour and twenty minute wait we got seated. I know going in how pricey this place is but I wasn't goingto let that stop me. I ordered the cold seafood platter. It came with three large shrimp (which were good), five crab claws, three mussels, and 1/2 of a one pound lobster with shrimp salad on top of the lobster. It was good but not worth what itcost. For my meal I ordered the broiled fisherman's wharf platter which was one shrimp with a little crab imperial stuffed ontop, three small scallops, one clam casino, a piece of flounder and 1/2 of a lobster (pretty sure it was no more than a onepound lobster) again with a little crab imperial on top. I was disappointed because the lobster was dried out and the amount ofcrab imperial was less than a mouthful. The service wasn't any better. I wish I could remember her name but it began with"J". She was missing more than my crab imperial. I have no problem spending a lot of money on good food. I totally understandCape May but to me this place is a little over rated. For amount of time you wait to get seated and how you are over chargedjust because of the town you are eating in is not worth it to me. Read more
Great location for a Sunday lunch, parking can be a bit tricky. It would help if there was someone at the front directing people... about the system for ordering or where to go. You kind of have to just walk around and figure out what?s happening, which isn?tideal. You also have to look for your own table which doesn?t feel fancy at all. The front take out section can also be a bitconfusing unless you notice you?re supposed to pull a number and wait to be called on. Get a lobster bisque if you?re intown! The food in general is delicious. I would definitely come here again, though maybe at opening time. There are a ton ofpeople who come here! My burger was delicious, though I really wanted regular fries instead of the giant potato fries I got. Read more
Went for dinner two weeks ago. It was crowded with a line, but people were seated quickly and efficiently. The waitstaff are... excellent, friendly, and efficient. We ordered crabmeat cocktail, lobster and scallops. This was the freshest, most deliciousseafood we had ever tasted. They also present you with a huge, hot, delicious loaf of homemade bread! Truly superb! ???????? Read more
This was my first time dining at The Lobster House. It is a fine dining restaurant. It is expensive. The atmosphere inside was... very inviting and charming. The servers dress and present themselves well. The restaurants interior design enhances your diningexperience. The quality and taste of everything was outstanding. They serve bread once seated. The bread was very flavorful. Iordered the steamed clams, which comes with a small salad and two sides, if you make it a dinner. They give you eighteen clams.I highly recommend this place and I will definitely return. I am looking forward to trying there other items on the menu! Read more
There's a reason this place has been here for 100 years! Great food and great service and the prices are reasonable for the... quality. There's something for everyone here. They have a fantastic fresh catch shop if you want to grab something to takehome with you to prepare later. They have a smaller, diner in the front for a quick bite and they also have a huge dining roomwith beautiful views of the marina. There's also a bar where you have full access to the available menu items. Plenty of freeparking located across the street. If you go for lunch, order your fish on the plank! You won't be disappointed! Read more
Very nice place to visit on Sunday days and sit outside on the boat bar overlooking the water watching yachts going. You can... come with your boat and dock there and hop on the restaurant. Food is good especially the lobster salad sandwich on a briocheroll or the shrimp salad sandwich. Also the steamed clams are wonderful. Stone crab claws are amazing. Service is always goodwhen it?s not over crowded. Been there multiple times and will go there again. Read more
