We visited El Patio in Cape Coral for the first time ? a party of four. We arrived after 6:00 for dinner and there were two... other tables occupied. We ordered an appetizer ? A La Huancaina with the Peruvian Corn. And a Peruvian drink Pisco (lemon). The appetizer was uneventful and the additional charge for the Peruvian Corn not worth the cost, but it was all part of theexperience. The Pisco was very good, although since this was our first time having this drink, we had nothing to compare. Weordered (3) Lomo Saltado and (1) Mar Y Tierra. I requested to have the Lomo Saltado mixture of Beef and vegetables to besevered over the fries. That is how I have had Lomo Saltado served when in Los Angeles and our waitress was excited to have itprepared this way. Apparently, it is the more traditional way to serve this dish because the fries can soak-up much of thesauce. The Mar Y Tierra looked very good and the skirt steak still had a little pink despite how thin the cut of beef. Therewas an abundance of seafood, as well. I did not taste the Mar Y Tierra but the Lomo Saltado was very good. Excellent flavorsand plenty of beef and vegetables. Even the white rice served with this dish was surprisingly tasty, although next time I mightsubstitute a side dish of their vegetable Fried Rice (another Peruvian staple from Chinese influence). The service throughoutthe dinner was excellent, in-part because there were few tables occupied, however, quite a few Take-out orders were beingpicked-up. Our servers (Liz and Ellie) were very helpful in explaining the menu selections and Liz especially, really knew themenu and the Peruvian food. The only inconvenience we experienced was how long it took to receive our check and then pay forthe meals. I finally went to the counter to get the check and then again to pay after waiting for quite a bit of time. FourStars instead of Five Stars because of the very slow "check-out" process. The food and service are 5-Stars. Read more
The staff here were so friendly and eager to help walk us through the menu with great reccomendations! The food was delicious! I... highly reccomend the Tacu Tacu if you're looking for a rice and beans cozy meal, but the Aji de Gallina was even cozier- a mildyellow cream sauce with pulled chicken and white rice. Ive never had this type of food before, but I felt exaclty at homebetween the friendly staff and the delicious food. Will definitely be back! Read more
Food was decent. I was slightly disappointed that they charged 5 dollars more for a spoonful of shrimp in that yellow sauce on... top of the rice. Like, seriously, it was frozen farm raised shrimp you paid Pennie?s for and you skimped on it and charged me1/3 of the base price of the dinner for it. And their drinks are sold by the can, so that?s another unnecessary exorbitant makeup. But I loved the food. The fish was crunchy and tasty. The rice was good. The shrimp in that yellow sauce was great. Justhigh unnecessary mark ups in cheap things. Read more
