We asked our hotel for a rec, read the reviews and was looking forward to a yummy dinner. Ambience was great, server was... friendly?. But the food was severely lacking. Our calamari was soggy from the oil and the sauce for it was so bland. I couldn?ttell what it was supposed to taste like. Our main course was the ?new? on the menu, Blue Atlantic Cod. It honestly had noflavor. The most robust flavor coming from the plate was the roasted tomatoes ???? My husband?s scallop risotto tasted likecheesy rice with frozen vegetables blended it????????? and they had defrosted some seafood to throw on top of it. Very bland aswell?.. I asked for hot sauce, and the type of hot sauce was smoky not no heat whatsoever. I don?t know if it?s just a regionalthing where maybe locals just like bland food but this wasn?t it for me. Had a great dinner tonight! Elaina our server was friendly, helpful, and gave great recommendations. The calamari was a great... starter and it had crispy veggies with it which was a nice touch. The trout was really good...the mashed peas and the butterysauce made the dish. We had the brownie for dessert with Gelato on the side. We visited on a Friday night. It wasn't overly busy but busy enough for a pandemic. Our server was friendly and prompt. The... atmosphere was gorgeous with a nice Christmas vibe in a rustic modern setting. We ordered the half chicken, roasted with mashedpotato and coleslaw. And the linguni with scallops.
