service and al pastor tacos were good but everything else was not great. couldn?t even finish the rice and beans - tasted like... pre-made rice in a bag from the store. the salsa trio was mediocre. one of them tasted just like a jar of tostitos salsa.definitely would not go back unless i only wanted tacos. Stopped here during our last visit to Canmore. I had the Cabeza Grande tres tacos. Durango steak, tinga tickle, and El fuego.... All were delicious, but the El fuego al pastor tacos were my favourite. We accompanied our meals with a couple shaken margaritaswhich were perfect. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. We didn?t have to wait for a seat but it was stillquite busy so you may have to wait during peak hours. Would like to love this place - as Mexican food is our go to. But - super inconsistent - last time we got take out - nachos were... great. So ordered them again. And not so great - as shown in photo - barely ate any of the small order. I added more cheese - asthere was barely any, and chips were stale - even after I heated them up. Won?t be doing that again. Great drinks. Fun personable servers. Great Canadian Mexican vibe and beautiful wall art. The tacos were flavored well but the... meat was on the dry side for me. Nice hot sauce options to suit your palate. There is often a wait for a table here, especiallyfor the patio seating. Its a nicely located restaurant just around the corner for lots of free parking and off the main street.Can't blame people for wanting to hang out here. Read more
Fantastic experience - the margaritas are absolutely top notch (hot tamale and coconut mint are fan favourites), the tacos were... fantastic and loaded with toppings - add the combo and you won?t be disappointed. The queso appetizer was delicious as well.Above all our service was great - Clint did a fantastic job giving us suggestions and menu information even though the place wasbusy. They don?t take reservations so go early or a wait list is your next best option but it?s worth it! Read more
