My friends and I like going on our Denny's trips to enjoy some decent food and have a nice social time. Our server, Lisa V, was... pretty rude through our interactions. I know, people can have bad days, I understand. But it was constant. Like sighing at uswanting something else, being weird/rude about someone asking for anything on her next check in with us. The topper here, we hadone friend pay early and step out to go smoke. She (Lisa) came to our table, asked us (because she overheard some of ourconversation), "did your friend say he was a bartender?", I said no, he's a budtender, and she responded with, "oh, that's oddbecause he didn't leave a tip." Like, I understand people need tips to live, but whether he did or didn't, you don't approachthe group or anyone like that and try to guilt it out of anyone. It's u professional. I don't like being this outward onnegative opinions of service (because I also work in the service industry), but it was very rude. We asked him about it later,he did tip! So we were just baffled at the whole situation. I know people are on hard times, but it's like, you could be nicer.We are having hard times too, and he didn't even dodge the tip. went out to breakfast here with my family? haven?t been here in a few years. we went to this location all throughout my child... and i always remembered it being amazing food. today was a different story. we went in at about 10 o clock, our waitress seemedto be new as she didn?t really know what to ask and had to go back and ask how i wanted my eggs and toast. food was okay, i gota chicken fried steak, although it was extremely crumbly, it was alright. they seem to forgot about my siblings bacon and eggsand just brought him out his pancakes which he had already ate by the time he got them. i never got my toast but the waitressasked if i wanted a shake to go or wait for my toast, took the shake, and left. the only reason this got 2 stars was because ofthe waitress offering to replace my toast. needs a fix up!! you can do better dennys! OK have not been to a Denny's in about a decade and back then Denny's was in a decline with poor food. I mention that to say... just how opposite this experience was. My wife and I came in at about 2 am after leaving PDX airport and we specifically leftPortland to eat because, well Portland. From outside the place looked closed due to lighting and having only 1 customer, onceinside it was bright, clean and friendly graveyard staff. The food was fantastic specifically the wavy fries are really good. Mywife said it was the best hamburger she has ever had from Danny's. If you are in the area definitely stop by. Read more
I respect the fact that it is the only restaurant in a 25 mile radius that is open 24 hours. Besides that, I don't have much... good to say. We received service that made us feel like we were a problem being in the restaurant. The staff did not seem to behappy working. After we we served, the waitress brought the check and waited for us to sign a tip right in front of her eventhough she really didn't deserve one. Decent diner food, though some of the items leave a lot of room for improvement. Mashed potatoes are sometimes too thick, most... the time too watery, and tastes/have the consistency of instant potatoes. The vegetables taste like they are prepackaged frozenvegetables, boiled and bland. They do make the food fast and the order is always warm and waiting for me to pick it up. Thestaff is friendly and attentive. The service is great, the food just leaves more to be desired. 3.5 stars for food and 4.5 starsfor service, that?s about right. Read more
Very friendly staff and server. She checked up on our group frequently and made sure drinks were topped off and every one was... doing ok. The food was really good as well. I highly recomend the bourbon chicken. Read more
Very clean, food was good. The hashbrowns were a tad underdone, but much preferable to overdone greasy hashbrowns, cinnamon... pancake was phenomenal, so was the ham. Eggs were perfectly over medium, which hardly ever happens. Definitely enjoyable Read more
There was a small miscommunication about my order and it was instantly fixed. The food was great. I had Salmon, mashed potatoes... and a fruit bowl. Thank You Denny's Read more
