The wait staff here is great! and I wish I could say the same for the food last evening we decided to try the place again and... when we received our food the fish tocos and the shrimp tacos were cold the French fries were cold and stale in fact the onlything that was hot was the fish I ordered and only because it was over cooked. when I asked for fresh fries I was told ( Ok butit?s going to be a while) ???? This place is hit and miss for a decent meal. It?s really gone down hill in the past year.. andthere is no consistency in the meals.. We were at Canadian Lakes for a week. We went to the Royal Grille once during the week for lunch and it was fine. We decided to... go again on Saturday August 27. There was a craft show going on outside so we figured it might be busy. We walked in and everytable that wasn't occupied was covered with dirty dishes. We finally sat at a large table. We waited for anyone from thewaitstaff to acknowledge us at least. After 10 to 15 minutes we decided that this was not going to be a good experience so weleft. I suggest if you know there is something going on that day that you get enough coverage to operate smoothly. Read more

Our waitress was friendly. We were a party if 6. Took a bit for our drinks, but they were a bit busy.. lots of empty tables but... think they may have been shirt staffed( totally understandabke ) After eating our apps ....we were informed that one of ourmeals was no longer available. Probably should have been told a bit earlier but Ok, so decided on another. Our food startedcoming out but 2 of the meals were "going to be a minute longer". One of the two came out within 2-3 mins but the 2nd did notcome out until we were almost done eating . We would have all been done eating but we were eating slowly so we could eat withher. Overall good experience food was decent decent portion sizes service was good we were able to get sat right away and we went on... a Saturday morning for lunch. We ordered the shrimp and then fish tacos. Both were tasty. I'd say really the only downfall wouldbe a somewhat limited menu. Read more

We went for Mother's Day today and it was awful, was not told about Specials, only giving menu. Our waitress never spoke except... for asking what would you like to drink. Had to go to bar and get our refills, very little as far as helpings, Maybe 7 or 8homemade chips with our sandwiches. Waitress never said thank you, come again. This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is lively and was hopping when we arrived. It?s a seat yourself place and the staff... was super friendly and pleasant. Instantly had a feeling you were welcome. They were busy but still made you feel wanted. Thankyou staff members. The drinks were AMAZING! The best $5 Long Island that I can remember. The piña coladas were delicious aswell. The list in my review shows what they had to offer and I wanted to try them all. The food was all really good. I don?tknow if anyone had any complaints with their orders. The wet burrito was delicious with the right blend of beef and beans. Thechicken quesadilla was not short on any filling. If you like cheese, this is the one for you! The flatbread pizza was loaded anddelicious. The bread was very soft and complemented all the toppings which were not sparse. The Tex Mex wrap was a definite hitas well. Honestly we were talking about what we wanted to try the next time we come and we are still at a loss because there isso many good options. They do run specials, one being an all you can eat fish fry. The special that evening was prime rib,which we wish we would?ve tried. Next time! If you want to go to a nice place to grab some amazing drinks and eat somedelicious food, this is definitely a must if you?re in the area.
