got a chicken poutine and all the chicken in the poutine is chewy and uncooked
Chicken coating on the dark side, overcooked. Was a bit disappointed!
If KFC, St Hubert, and Popeyes had a baby it would be Dixie Lee. I was pleasantly surprised by this place - it was recommended... to us by a friend. The food was cooked fast and our order was accurate. The chicken was crispy, moist and flavourful. Theportions were huge. We really enjoyed our visit and we left very full with leftovers. Some points for improvement: - Updatingthe name of this business would be prudent as Dixie has been well established as a racial term supporting the region of slaveryin the southern USA. - Updating the restaurant or embracing the old diner style - One high chair was available but it didn’tfit anywhere as the chairs are bolted to the floor. We had to block the entrance to the washrooms to make it work. It was alsosticky from previous visitors. - Pride in presentation was lacking - when I opened my box I thought I had only received friesand no chicken. My husband commented that he thought the same thing when he opened his box. My daughter’s nuggets were cookedon mars (she couldn’t eat them for a long time because they were SO hot).
