I noticed on our way home after leaving the drive thru at the A & W location in the Discovery Harbour Shopping Center/Campbell... River this afternoon, that there were no fries in my young son's bag of food (I had ordered him a combo meal). I had to turnaround and drive back to the drive thru to get my son his fries, only to be told by the clerk that he was charging me for thefries straight up/full price, no discount for the combo meal that I had asked for. I questioned him about it, as I was somewhatexpecting to be offered the fries as a complimentary apology for the mistake, however instead he charged me full price for thefries, with not even a suggestion of refunding the original order and ringing it in properly so that I get my considerablediscount for the combo with fries. I paid full price for the fries nonetheless, and requested some sort of recompense for theovercharge, and after speaking with the shift supervisor, all he could offer was a turnover. I am usually quite happy with myfood/experiences at A & W restaurants, but as a person who has spent many years working in the customer service industry, I hadhoped for better today.
