Our hotel recommended Low Places for a good meal and drinks. We were not disappointed. Located in the downtown area, it was an... easy drive. The drink selection was very good. I ordered the Bloody Mary (the bacon got me). It was like a meal. I especiallyliked the homemade pickles on the bottom. Dinner was very filling but still had room for dessert. If you are in Camp Verde, seekout this gem. Read more

Love this place. Very low key and friendly, with good pub grub style food. Not rough at all, although you might mistake it for... biker bar from the outside. A regular stop now when we're in the Camp Verde area. Read more

Dark, saloon style restaurant. We arrived at 4ish so it wasn?t busy. We were greeted fairly quickly and taken to a table. Then... we waited about 5 minutes before a server showed up. There is no wine or beer list (warning bells). Gallo wine (that?s it) andmostly the Budweiser type beer with a couple different ones on tap. No craft beers and no IPAs. Boo!! They do have a full barthough if you?re into liquor. We were given the lunch menu which is sandwiches, burgers, chicken, and a few salads. We asked tosee the dinner menu which was more limited, and they were out of the rib eye. We opted for the Mushroom and Swiss and Wild Westburgers. We asked for medium but they were served medium well. They were nice sized burgers with huge buns (which we didn?t eatand didn?t ask for). The burgers were good but nothing special and not worth $15 a pop. The french fries were okay. They had alight breading but not much flavor. Dressed them up with salt and ketchup which made them better but I like to taste my frieswhen I splurge. Service was mediocre. There was a lot of chitchat among the employees, and they were eating their dinner so theykinda forgot about us. Total cost $51 for 2 beers, 2 burgers and tip. Too many ?just okays? for us to return.
