My first visit is proving to be a wonderful taste sensation: macaroni and cheese topped with... sliced, crispy, crunchy seasoned to perfection chicken thigh topped with a serving of pickles. Never had this food combinationbefore but I know this is a repeater!! Entering the restaurant, one's sense of smell is filled with the smell of fried foods...my favorite!! And, as this is the first visit, I wasn't familiar with the different levels of "heat." Liz, the attendant, wasdelightful and also very helpful in suggesting what might be the tastiest without scorching my taste buds. She was right on themoney for me. My meal was super delicious. And, the portion was enough for two meals. Love the decor of aluminum tables andchairs. I chose to sit outside at one of the picnic tables. Though a little warm, there was a pleasant breeze that waftedthrough. A great eating experience: great food and very picturesque surroundings. Hope to visit again when I find myself in CampVerde. Thursday 6 October 2022 Had my usual order of their DELICIOUS Mac&Cheese topped with crispy/crunchy boneless thigh and asubstantial helping of their yummy diced pickels drizzled with flavorful hot sauce. Aside from my oh so tasty meal, must saythat I like the homey, family like atmosphere. A couple and children were traveling from somewhere and stopped in for lunch. Very friendly and Liz and a young man, perhaps the manager/owner were very welcoming. And, Liz was very kind trying toaccommodate my request for the meal to be packaged differently from their usual to-go packaging. What she settled on was justright to ensure that the chicken wouldn't be soggy by time I returned home, an approx drive of 30 minutes. Lastly, the youngman brought my meal and served it with a smile. Absolutely spectacular hot chicken place. Do not make the mistake of passing this place up! The owner is one of the nicest guys... around and he really knows his stuff when it comes to hot chicken. This chicken shop rivals some of the best places in downtown Nashville with their incredible recipe. We tried "Hot" and "Arizona... Hot" and the ladder stole the show, as long as you're ready for the heat. The flavor is outstanding and the chicken is juicy onthe inside and crispy on the outside with their AZ Comeback Sauce that complements it perfectly. Our family came from Tucson to visit the Out of Africa park. We stopped at Flew the Coop first and we were absolutely blown away... by the food. We have eaten plenty of Nashville hot chicken in Tennessee and let me tell you, this stuff was the real deal. Wegot a variety of meals including the chicken and waffles (medium heat), kid's meal, and chicken sandwich (hot heat). The chickenwas perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasonings and spice levels were amazing. All of thesides were delicious. On top of that it was all reasonably priced with AMAZING service. They even surprised my daughter with abirthday banana cream pie. We would 100% make the drive from Tucson just for Flew the Coop. Read more

Finally decided to give this place a try and it was okay. I got the little sammie (medium) and honestly it wasn't medium, lacked... the heat for sure. The chicken is moist but lacks flavor in the chicken, breading is great but to crispy for my 4 yr old to eveneat. The mac n cheese was kinda plain and dry. The fries were great. Staff was very friendly and explained the menu pretty well.I'm not sure if we'll be back or not. Read more
