We had a lovely stay here. The inn is very close to downtown and walkable to everything you could want to do in Camden. The... on-site parking had plenty of spaces. Our room, and the inn overall, was very clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Thebreakfast included was tasty. We weren't able to do dinner as the dining room is closed Mon and Tues. The only things thatwould say are: 1) the walls are a bit thin, our neighbors snoring and the church bell (that rings every hour on the hourthroughout the day and night) can be heard very clearly from the room we stayed in (Toscana), and 2) the staff were very hard tofind, though I'm not trying to be too harsh because we came at the end of the season and I know everyone is having staffingissues. Overall, this was a lovely little stay. I would recommend if you're a light sleeper to consider which room you pick. Read more

I hope this isn't out of line, but this place fell far below our expectations. At the Hartstone Inn, you are greeted by a... massive pothole in the driveway entryway. This lead to a back parking lot with a very steep entry but plenty of spaces. Our roomwasn't in the main building, but the Manor behind it and was advertised as a suite. It was very spacious with a comfortable kingsized bed. Clean linens. The carpet was soiled and the blinds were damaged. The bathroom was unsettling. Caulking in the showerand around the baseboard was rotting and molding. The exhaust fan had years of dust caked to it. The baseboard heat fin/slat hadfallen off and was on the floor. Sink faucet was installed crooked. To boot, wifi didn't work in that building (but it did inthe main building). Breakfast the following morning was delicious, but I did notice a chicken wing bone on the floor by my feetseemingly from the previous night's dinner. I understand there are staffing issues and this is an expensive vacation area, butit just seems the problems we encountered weren't related to that. The staff was very friendly and the location is great, butwe won't be recommending this place to anyone. Read more

Our room at 4 Pleasant street, not main bld was ok. Be sure to ask if you are booked in main bld. if that is where you want to... be or a short walk is ok. No staff was at satellite location at all. Tv worked intermittently, tipped a staff member beforedinner to fix it, she never did. Main bld, not handicap assessable. I witnessed staff member assisting a woman in wheel chairdown the stairs. Office staff in main bld. and food servers excellent. I would go back, but stay in main bld. we had breakfastsand one night dinner, food was excellent. Read more

We stayed in Toscana on the second floor. The room was clean, comfortable and quite lovely. The staff was extremely kind and... attentive and the location is walkable to everything in town. We enjoyed the daily breakfast menu and would also encourageanyone visiting Camden to make dinner reservations at the inn. The dining experience was wonderful. We had a group of 6 andeveryone loved their meal. Thank you for great Maine getaway! Read more

We had a very nice stay here. The Inn is clean and comfortable, with great amenities, and an excellent staff. The location is... perfect for exploring Camden and nearby towns. The only thing that could have made our stay better was having a room with abathroom in it instead of down the hall, but it was the only room available. We’d happily stay here again if we return toCamden. Read more

What an absolute gem. Every staff member here is so warm and inviting, they make you feel welcomed and cared for. We had the... most delicious meals and cocktails, and enjoyed sitting outside by the fire. Our room was unbelievably cozy and spacious. Cannotrecommend highly enough. The homemade cookies are to die for. We can’t wait to come back and try the cooking classes! Read more

I called to see if guests other than the ones who are staying at the Inn can come for dinner. I was excited when they said yes.... I loved the 3 course meal and $49 is very inexpensive for what you get. Delicious (more like so yummy I just want to tastemore). The service is excellent and between the two servers, you're well cared for. I went on a Sunday rainy evening and wasabsolutely delighted. Thank you for being open. I had a terrific time. The experience was great. The room was nice and cozy with a great fireplace and comfy bed. The breakfast that was included was... amazing and the dinner was tasty, different and fun. Kudos to the hostess who had to deal with a loud obnoxious couple claimingthe food was reheated and it obviously wasn't. She handled it with great class as they tried to complain to other tables. Wewill be back! Read more
