Popular for lunch and a quick drink among the workers nearby, Commonwealth is one of my favorite spots for lunch in... Cambridge. Topped with sweet chili coleslaw, their fried chicken sandwich made with chicken thigh is truly a S-tier quality.However, when I recently took a visit for dinner, I was disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Their dinner menuscome in huge portions, but felt more like a typical American pub food with a little twist. Only thing that I liked was thegrilled pork ribs, and other dishes were only slight upgrades from regular pub foods. Highly recommend coming here for thefried chicken sandwich, but beware that dinner might be a bit disappointing if you come in with the same expectations. Read more

It’s a nice place for a drink and the food was good but it wasn’t amazing good. The decor was clean and simple. I think the... popularity is based on work functions and ability to hold large gatherings. I’m not sure we’ll be returning for dinner baseon our experience but we might get drinks again. Read more
Lovely restaurant in Cambridge within walking distance from our hotel. It's located near other restaurants, shops, and the... water. At best, this seems like an excellent restaurant for someone on a diet to splurge once a week. Having been vegan,vegetarian, and pescatarian, the menu was minimal. The food reminded me of the stereotype you hear when “healthy food haslittle taste.” The best food item we ordered were the Shishitos. I would frequent here just to order them. Our server wasaccommodating and knowledgeable. You can tell this is a hotspot for young professionals because the outdoor seating was alreadyreserved (before dinner), and it quickly filled soon after we arrived. Read more

My fiancé and I had our tasting here and we’re blown away and can’t wait to host our wedding at Commonwealth this spring.... The Chef was so sweet, passionate and clearly knows his stuff… very very talented. The general manager and bar tender alsowere spot on, kind, thoughtful, and genuine. Solid drink selection and the specialty cocktails were soo good. The vibe atCommonwealth is great. We are here on a Friday night-no wait and super low key. They had a good variety of cocktails and they were all tasty. We shared... a bunch of apps and then ordered some mains too.
