Loved the food. Loved the prices. Everything hit the spot and I really appreciate the portions. Curry had a good kick. The katsu... breading wasn't peeling off and they used good technique. My beef was cooked perfectly. Chicken was moist and not overcooked. Read more

Never disappointed. Serve old school homey comfort Japanese food. Reasonable price. My favorite Hamburg steak in anyway.... Difficult to find this type of food this day so everytime I visit Boston, I try to go there. Read more

All their main meat dishes are AMAZING. You won?t really find a small restaurant serving food like this anywhere else in Boston.... The flavors seriously hit the spot and everything is just made so, so well. I personally love the tonkatsu?the meat inside isalways juicy with the perfect crispy and thin breading around it. Value is SO worth it too! For just $12 you basically get afull bento box: miso soup, salad, rice, tonkatsu, and curry. Rice is a bit too mushy to my liking but otherwise everything wasgreat. Service can get very slow, however, if it is crowded. Read more

The best place in Boston for Japanese style comfort food. There are no wrong choices on the menu. My personal favorite is the... Rockin Chicken Tatsuta Set. Also of note is their curry is more on the savory side and not spicy. The only downside is that thewater you are served is frequently room temperature. Read more

Delicious Japanese comfort food inside the Lesley University food court in Port Square. I went to Cafe Mami on a Friday night... and was able to get a table to myself. Other patrons had to wait for a seat because they only have 5 tables. Everything on themenu is super affordable and portions are generous. I ordered the grilled beef and tofu set, which I highly recommend, and myfood came out in <10 minutes. I do wish the miso soup had wakame and tofu, and it would nice if they had real cutlery/chopsticksinstead of disposable. Still a tasty meal and one of the better options for affordable Japanese in the Boston area. Read more

Perhaps one of the best curry dishes I have had. There a lot of restaurants in Porter but this is small hole in the wall with... excellent home made food that just tastes perfect. The portions are great, the price is fair and the service was good. OverallI really like this spot. If you are more than 4 people than you probably won?t fit. Read more
