Ordered 2 dinners @1224pm thru Grubhub pickup time was btw 1240-1250 get in restaurant @1250 check in with girl at counter... "Grubhub pick name", stand to the side waiting on her to come back give a status she says nothing, several people walk in pickup their orders, still no acknowledgement, so I ask what's the status of the Grubhub order she goes to an office a man walks outI ask what's status of my order, then tracking status order time changed to 1315-1325, I ask is this accurate neither personresponds!! The macaroni was stove top not baked and the meal price was to high for a small portion i gave 3 stars cuz the rice came with... the meal as well as I think the chicken wasn?t done all the way im not sure cuz I got sick Read more

I've been eating here for years and the food has always been good. Today while on my lunch, I had a very bad experience. While... chewing my food, it felt like a small bone in my mouth I was biting on, instead it turned out to be a thin piece of metal! WhenI took it back and showed the manager, he thought it might have been a staple but it was smaller than a staple. He went to theback for a couple minutes, and returned saying it looks like a piece of the scouring pad they clean with. He offered me areplacement but after that, I just asked for my money back. My concern now is that I may have ingested some of that metal andthe affect it may have on my body? Hopefully i'm ok and the restaurant learns from this and does a much better job of cleaningtheir equipment! I won't be back any time soon, if at all. Read more
They get 5 stars THIS time because #1, all of the food was delicious - Jerk chicken dinner with cabbage & yams. Portions are... always plentiful. No complaints. #2, the food was ready when I arrived to pick it up (hallelujah!). It's annoying in generalwhen restaurants provide a pickup time & its not ready until 20 minutes later. Tropic Island sometimes have off days, butoverall, I can expect a good meal from them. Read more

The food has an excellent taste but very skimpy on each portion, especially the fish portions. Extremely too pricey for this... plant. I've has this same exact order from other Jerk Food establishments, same or near to the price - BUT you got to give me mymoney's worth. Won't be back. ???? Read more
We each ordered dark jerk chicken platters. We each got dry white jerk chicken platters. The chicken was somewhat good but dry... and they give you the least amount of sauce possible. After eating this food I was fine because I didn't eat much, but it toremy husband's stomach up. This was not a good idea the night of a 4.5 hour flight. Never again. Read more
