Vern's used to be one of my favorite pizza places in the whole city, and unfortunately I have to say that they've fallen from... that spot. Their customer service has dropped significantly, the quality of their pizza has dropped slightly, and while Iunderstand inflation but their prices aren't worthwhile to me anymore. I feel that the quantity of food to what you pay is justnot worth it. My most recent visit was also quite disappointing on the customer service front, whichever younger staff were"working" were quite rude, extremely slow, and just weren't showing any care for the job or the business. Pizza was ordered, called 3 times to find it, 3rd call was an hour and a half after order was placed, verns would not... compensate. They canceled the order with out delivery. Very poor customer service. Especially when the delivery location is 6mins away. Will never order from them in Calgary again. Read more
The pizza was really nice and i always like this place, but be careful with the guy who delivers the pizza, idk if he doesn't... know how to do math or he is just trying to do some extra money by fooling you and give you less change. i gave him $100 billfor a pizza that was about $38 and he was giving me $45 in exchange. do the math. it's not the first time he did this so i wasready this time, maybe he just doesn't know how to do math and you need to help him and remind him of the real exchange heshould give you Read more

Fantastic as per usual! Tried the lite pizza this time and it's still a really good size and a lot of toppings. Sauce has a... slight sweetness to it and we love how thin the meat is sliced. Read more
We were in Calgary for the day. And husband and I remember that they had Vern pizza! Of course we knew exactly what we wanted (... MOMA MIA)!!! This is like your typical house pizza BUT it a 5 POUNDS OF HEAVEN!! You can only order 15/18 inch due to amount oftoppings and YES THERE IS A LOT!! ( see pictures I posted). I and my husband really like their sauce it a little sweet notoverly. When we place the order we knew it was going to take longer than normal for it to be delivered (40 min, just to cook.)The guy over the phone was pleasant and even asked if we could use plates forks etc BONUS!! Yes when we got our food within anhour of calling ( 15 min drive) they remember the plates etc we had said yes too. It been a few years since we have had Vern :(. But this place in Calgary never left us down! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND trying this pizza ( MOMA MIA) for anyone who is reallyhungry or loves house pizza. Very filling pizza and worth the cost hand down! Somewhat expensive but worth the price due to how loaded their pizzas are. If you're going to choose pizza around the 20$ mark,... definitely go here. The T-Rex pizza is aptly named considering how many layers of meat there are. The cheese is probably thebest quality in the SE and there's a nice thick layer. The bottom crust is nice and thin but strong enough to hold the toppings.Everything about the pizza is seriously great quality. Read more
Just picked up a ? thick ? pizza ( $36 ) and when we got home ( drove 40 minutes to pick up ) and opened the box , there was... very little meat on the pizza . We have bought ? Vern?s light ? pizza in the past that had more meat on it than this one andonly cost $15 . If this is their new ? thick ? pizza , we wont be back ?. Very disappointed in this Vern?s pizza .Will not beback to this location !!! Update - I have sent pictures of the very thin pizza to Vern?s and never heard anythingback , this just tells me that the owner doesn?t care about his customers. Take the money and run !!!
