Vietnamese is my favourite food, and I have tried A LOT of different Vietnamese restaurants. I?m telling you, this is literally... the best Vietnamese food ever. 31B is my go to, but everything is delicious, from the vermicelli bowls, to the subs and stirfries. Huge portions, but taste wise 4/5. The meat in vermicelli bowl lacks the typical charred flavor. Pho soup is not overly sweet,... but the meat tastes just ok. Servers are quick, and the restaurant is clean with plenty of parking spaces. Read more

I?ve been going to Van Son for quite a few years now and I can confidently say they are one of my favourite and most consistent... Vietnamese restaurants in the city. They have one of the best sate soup broths with the right amount of spice and flavour. Thestaff are amazing and always very welcoming and considerate. I often take friends and family here and they always have nothingbut good things to say. Would highly recommend if you are in the NW. Read more

Went here with my family and was thoroughly disappointed. Had the bun bo hue which wasn't authentic and used pho ingredients. My... Vietnamese parents had the pho which I tried and it was alright, not the worst, but far from the best. The decor was alright,but covered in plastic covering which ruined the vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant. The service was friendly and passable.Overall, despite their best efforts, I cannot recommend this place over the vast amount of better options in Calgary. Read more

Nice Vietnamese food. The beef was very tender in the pho. One of the nicer Vietnamese places in Calgary. It was not the best I... had. Usually I am a fan of Viet subs, but this place lacked a bit of flavor. Great presentation and quantity in food though.Love the ambience and service.
