I get it, the location and vibe are great, but in no way do you charge $40 for Ginger beef. Simply ridiculous on the pricing for... Chinese food. The food I had was somewhat decent but not worth the price. UPDATE: Since the owners believe that they cancharge extraordinary prices based on a link provided doesn't mean its worth it. I had better Chinese take out for a fraction ofthe cost that delivered great taste and quality. What you guys fail to realize is that your charging a premium for nothing.Comparing your self to a steak house is like comparing apple to oranges. The staff and service are exceptional and they go above and beyond to make accommodations for all guests, which is more than... enough to have me coming back. However the food is mediocre for the price point; I would call it very westernized Chinese foodat double the standard price. Read more
We had a small family dinner here toddler included and had an amazing time. Between the 5 of us we shared what was borderline... too much food. We tried the Typhoon Shelter Corn, Ginger Beef, Special Fried Rice, Mushroom Dumpling, Lobster Won-Ton, AlmondChicken, Wok Fried vegetables, potatoes, cauliflower and finally some pineapple soft serve. I would order everything againwithout a doubt. 2 year old liked the cauliflower, rice, chicken and ice cream best as she’s a little cautious when it comesto heat. Went in late night for their late night happy hour at the tea house downstairs. Service was mediocre at best-3/5 on this... front. Server wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu or recommendations. Might have been a long shift, but wasn't the bestexperience. Ambiance -5/5, neat decor. Food - 4/5, for a place that's supposed to be Chinese inspired I didn't really get muchAsian influence in the flavours. It was good, but nothing that blew me away. At the price range I expected more. We visited Two Penny for a celebration dinner, and were so pleased with the experience. What their chef(s) have done with the... menu items is fabulous. The ginger beef was very expensive, but absolutely worth it. Everything that we ordered, and it was alot, was done to perfection. We had a party of eight, and managed to get a taste of 10 or 12 items. Fusion at it's finest! Read more
