Amazing food!! This is our favourite Italian spot in the SW of Calgary - we’re regulars. Trullo has a beautiful design inside,... it feels intimate and the food is excellent. Nice finding locally owned restaurant that’s aren’t part of a huge chain… youcan see the difference and the service is always good. Typically it’s better on weekends vs mid week nights. They also rotatethe menu which is awesome!! Note to owner: I loved the tiramisu when it was on the menu, so sad when I discovered a few monthsago it had been removed. Trullo delivers an amazing experience, that is truly hard to forget. I literally dream about their dishes while sleeping at... night, and can’t get it out of my head until I’ve satisfied the craving. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautifulpresentation, wide wine list, and amazing premium cocktails. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming, I recommend toabsolutely everyone! The Salami Burrata delivers a clash of sensations with a fluffy, buttery consistency unlike any otherrestaurant I’ve ever been to - highly recommended. The Beef carpaccio is delicious - it’s very well balanced in flavours, presentation is prime, and a must have. The flatbreads, all of the flatbreads please. So so good. The Clam linguine - expect toappreciate the house made pasta, and perfectly cooked, buttery clams - light and fresh, something that makes me come back timeand time again. My mouth is watering just from writing this review lol! The only thing I think they could improve on is themusic. It’s not too loud or terrible by any means, but something more modern and upbeat to match the atmosphere, decor andfantastic menu, I think they would really benefit from. I know I would stay even longer than I usually do to enjoy morecocktails after my meal, if they tuned it up a bit. Overall, fantastic job, keep up the good work! I would rate it 10/5 if Icould. Very very tasty. Portions are medium. Soon rack up a bill. $200+ for 4 people, no liquor. But it was worth it. Just a little... complaint, the buratta was almost mozzarella. Good but chewy. Read more
What an incredible new restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and so beautiful. The food is equally fantastic. Shared a... bunch of appetizers, pastas, and pizettes, all of which were delicious. The carpaccio sooo good, you need to try it. My wife and I were in the neighborhood and we decided to try this place out and I am extremely satisfied with not only the food... but the service as well. It’s real Italian food, not some spaghetti and meatball joint. If you’re in the area or even ifyou’re not, you have to try this place out. Personally I think the wall paper and art is a little tacky but the musiccompensated for it. Fun and relaxing vibe. Thank you Sue, Jane and Eric for a wonderful experience.
