The place looks small from the outside but it is actually really big inside. Nicely decorated and good atmosphere to eat. Food... was delicious and will totally comeback for more. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the person tending us had littlepatience while we decided what to order. Other than that it's a good restaurant with good service. Read more

Exceptional customer service and wonderful atmosphere. The pakoras and samosas were authentic and delicious and the coconut... naan bread is one of those food items that is so worth the calories! I highly recommend this place for the genuineity of it,the high quality of the food and the fantastic customer service. Read more

We enjoy all different Indian restaurants around Calgary! They all have their own flare to their dishes! We’ve finally been... able to dine in person at Taste of Himalayas in Midnapore for the second time in a few weeks! We had ordered online during thehigh of the pandemic! Once establishments were opened again we try to go out and directly support the restaurants we enjoyedwhile locked up! Taste of Himalayas does not disappoint! They have the freshest light tasting garlic naan we’ve ever had! Onthe second visit we voiced our opinions on how much we enjoyed everything! The owner/chef even took us back and showed us theirprocess of making the naan in the tandoor! Read more

I have been to taste of Himalaya twice in the recent past and the food was good. Unfortunately this time my experience was... totally different. The lamb sikwa was dry, tasted like beef and definitely stale. The chicken Tikka Masala was no different, TheNaan was undercooked and doughy. The fish pakora and kachumbar was fresh and tasted great. And the food was served in areasonable amount of time we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. Read more

Staff at this restaurant was really nice and welcoming. We ordered momos - really good. Mulligatawany soup - delicious. Hakka... noodles - bit too sweet and orange for my liking. If you like Nepali/ Indian food, you must give this place a try. Read more

So yummy! We tried it for the first time last night. We are coming back for sure. Very attentive service, very clean. We loved... the atmosphere. The location can make this gem easy to miss, but it's worth finding. Read more

Visited the Taste of Himalayas for a late lunch on Weekday. The ambience is good and the staff is welcoming. We loved their... Momos, they were great. The covering was thin and had good filling inside it. We also ordered the Pakora platter. The paneerpakora and samosa didn't seem fresh whereas the others were good. Their Naan and Lacha Parantha are to die for. Better than theones we get in India. For the main course, we ordered Butter Chicken and Paneer Lababdaar. Butter Chicken was too sweet for myliking so had to get it redone. Paneer was good. We ended our meal with Chai and enjoyed the experience. Will go back fortheir Momos. Read more

It was our first time trying out Nepalese food and we weren’t disappointed. The scent was invigorating when you entered the... place and if you’re into Indian food, you’re going to get the same spice experience. We had the chicken momo (dumplings),lamb sekuwa (lamb with spicy sauce) goes well with saffron rice or sesame naan. With a mango lassi (yoghurt drink), the intensespice heat subsided and was ready to fill with more. We also had the Taste of Himalayas non-vegetarian sampler and the samosaswere jam packed with filling. Delicious and a tasty treat. I wanted to really try their dine in special but they don’t serveit on busy nights like weekends. I guess we’ll be back for more on a weekday. Fairly priced as we were stuffed for $60 Read more
