Ordered 6 Tacos that could have filled a 4 year old?s belly?if they didn?t have much of an appetite. Went to the memorial drive... location last week and they were 1000x better. This place was cold and gave me enough meat for maybe 3 tacos. Go to the Memoriallocation, they make amazing tacos there. Read more
Great little hole in the wall restaurant! I was introduced by a friend of mine to this restaurant. I am pleased that the service... is fairly quick and responsive. The restaurant is clean and has enough seating. The food is excellent and well-priced. Themixed Enchiladas were fantastic and cooked perfectly! The variety of flavours and textures was excellent! It is great thatthere is accessibility to this restaurant from North or Southbound Macleod Trail. If the front parking is full, you can park onthe side of the building too. After recently having Mexican dinner at another restaurant, we decided to try this place for a comparison and I have to say the... results were interesting? upon arriving we were sat at a table and not even two minutes later being asked what we would like toorder.. I like quick service but this was a bit too quick. To start our dinner my group and I decided to start with anappetizer, we ordered the Calamari with one limonade drink and one Horchata. Now honestly the Horchata was incredible I almostordered a second one, the limonade was fresh and tasty, as for the Calamari it was fairly normal with the dipping sauce being anice combination. As for our main meals we ordered one Chipotle beef (street taco) and one Tampiquena. We both found the beef inboth of our dishes to be a bit dry and over cooked, and I found that the tacos could have used a bit more sauce on the shreddedbeef, the star of my plate was definitely the hot sauce, it was incredibly bold, I really enjoyed it. I would say ourexperience at this restaurant was about a 3.5 out of 5. The drinks definitely brought the score up, I just wish I could say thesame about the main course. Read more
Most authentic Mexican food you can get in the city. Food is great but sometimes your request goes off the fly (asked not to... make it spicy but nope they even made it more spicy) and had to wait more than an hour to get the food since they are veryunderstaffed. Besides the food, the place is pretty small so you will have to wait before they clean the table or customers toleave since there's only a few staff working. Parking is cramped and confusing since it's shared with the businesses around it.Honestly, NEVER go here when it's busy. They did give us nachos on the house since we waited more than hour. Gave this place a try because I love chicharron tacos and this place is one of the few taco places in calgary that has... chicharron tacos. I was quite disappointed because the chicharron tacos were literally just pork rinds covered in sauce. Andthey charge like $20 for 6 tacos. I think that price is very expensive, especially if im just getting pork rinds covered insauce. As I was eating I honestly thought to myself ?wow I could?ve just made this.? The other tacos were better, I think theywere pork and pineapple. But for the price I just don?t think it?s worth it. I?d go here again for their other tacos, but it?dbe my last resort.
