Starlite used to be the place to go for pizza but sad to say not anymore, on our last visit we ordered a medium pie for pick-up,... i should have checked it out before paying because when we got home i couldn't believe what they sold us, very little toppingsand no cheese - although i paid for extra cheese! Went for dinner with a group of coworkers. Felt like an older family restaurant from my childhood, in a good way! I had pizza... (because of reviews!) which was really good. Lots of toppings. Just ordered two clubhouse sandwiches. The turkey on both of them is low cost deli meat from your local grocery store and cheap... processed cheese to match. The amount of bacon differed from each sandwich. Requested no tomatoes and literally had a chunk onone sandwich and the other had remains of tomato as if they took it off after the fact. First time here, the pub tables are small; appearing to be 2? diameter so we went to the restaurant. This side is nice with a... 90s decor. For food the medium wings were a good hot, crunchy and saucy so I?d have these again. The fish and chips for me andother tables I?d seen were burnt so I wouldn?t order those deep fried foods again. The absolute best pizza I have ever had. I have been eating at Starlite since I was in high school (I recently turned 40) and in... those many years I have yet to come across better. I moved away from Calgary over a decade ago and got a chance to grab lunchhere while passing through. I am very pleased to say that thier food is still just as food today as it has ever been. Neighbourhood staple , a good old style diner. The pizza is famous in the area , the pasta is good .I really likes their soup n... salad combo?s. As some others have noticed a bit dated decor but it does have it?s own charm for sure.Good food at reasonableprices and very friendly staff ..that never gets old. Feels like home every time.
