Reviews for Starbucks in Calgary, AB
Best Starbucks in the city! My wife has tried quite a few locations all across the city and we specifically go to this one. Our... order is always the same (caramel macchiato, extra hot) and it is always done to perfection no matter who is working! Mostlocations don't even know what extra hot means but these fine gentlemen and ladies sure do! Also, the employees (all of them)are always extra friendly and talkative! Keep doing an awesome job ???? Read more
I went in today to use my Free Drink from the App. I was told they would not honour that promo as they are not a... corporate location, and I should drive to the one in Copperfield. If you want to use the Starbucks name then provide the samelevel of service/promotions that the other locations provide. Read more
Always a fantastic experience at this Starbucks. From the manager, to all the staff, they are always attentive and courteous.... Operating during challenging times in the pandemic was admirable. Barista Ashley in particular has made significant effort tolearn our orders, greet us by name, and remain a pleasant person to deal with always. I can simply order my wife's regular orderby mentioning her name and not the 3-4 unique changes she makes to the beverage. Truly admirable commitment to her customers andher employer. Do not hesitate to go to this Starbucks anytime! Read more
Avoid this location at all cost. They cannot get organized and likely starts at the manager. I watched 3 people fail at all... levels for 10 minutes to make 2 drinks. And the drinks that were served were incorred. After 10 minutes of waiting behind 3drinks, i was told they couldnt serve me. If ashley is behind the counter, walk away. She is more worried about her selfimportance than customer service or brand representation. Fail. Ill go to tims today unfortunately. I dont have time to meetwait for another coffee. Read more
This is the closest Starbucks to me, and I am quite pleased with the service you get here. This location is inside of a Sobeys,... and it has a few tables (I think 4 of them) and is tucked in a corner which makes it cozy. The staff is very helpful and niceand they get all the orders quickly and they get my name right hahah. Read more
Typically when someone orders their drink made with Almond milk it?s most likely because that person is lactose intolerant or... has an intolerance to dairy cream or milk. So when we drive to get a Starbucks rather then any other coffee shop due to anintolerance to dairy, spend $6 on a coffee instead of $1.90 at Tim hortons, it should be made properly. After getting home lastnight and discovering my coffee was made with dairy milk and not almond milk, it immediately got poured down the drain. Not tomention, when the store closes at 9pm and I arrive at 8:35pm, the staff should probably keep their attitude about a latecustomer to themselves and not roll their eyes and look bothered considering they still had plenty of time until the end oftheir shift. Love starbucks, usually get once to twice a week. I purposefully drive out of my way to the next closest location in Copperfield... because this was is so painful to go too. I dont like to leave negative reviews but today was obscurd. Usually I get why theyare so slow as it's one person, today had the most staff u had ever seen there (3). I stood at the till by myself for literally8 minutes without any acknowledgement of my existence. There were two couples waiting for drinks on the other side. The oneemployee was making drinks very very slowly at the machine, the other one seemed lost in space and the third rather thenmultitasking watched as he put each item in the microwave and watched it cook then slowly bagged it. Then I got a sorry as thissituation continued to occur. A few minutes after that he came to the till and just looked at me. I gave him my order, paid andwent to wait. While I waited others showed up and a line of 5 people occured while 3 people made my drink and whatever else theywere doing.... I got my drink and it was bright yellow, I told the barista my drink was wrong and she told me to try it firstbefore deciding and I informed her the color was wrong and sipped it and it tasted solely like lemonade. I told her thispolitely and the two of them just starred at me while the other employee worked the till...this staring contest went on for afew minutes until I broke the awkward silence and was asked if I could have tea in it to which the cashier asked the barista ifshe made it right. She told him what she did and he offered to make me a new drink in 10 minutes time to which I appreciated onhis part but I didt want to spend 35-40 minutes just getting a drink...I asked to just pour some tea in my drink and left.Never again. Yes I know first world problems but they've been open a while now and it's kind of ridiculous. Save your self thetime and go to the drive thru location! Or Seton SaveOnFoods. Read more
Horrible place. Worked at this location. "Assiant manger"(Ashley) refuses to do anything- Except for walk around and talk to... other sobeys employees (got so bad to the point costumers noticed, due to the huge line that word form and, given the fact i wasbeing trained) . When you ask for help beaware because you will receive a yelling at/ or a response of "i just simply dont wanttoo". Terrible management. Contacted HR/and starbucks general manager. Update: The other reviews on here are made bycostumers/friends of the starbucks employees (Christopher Bradley) hence why he specifically mentioned ashley in hes comment asshes actually the worst out of all employees, hence why there is multiple negative reviews on her costumer service, attitude, work ethic etc. For the short time i worked there. Kept all screen shots of the abrasive/ passive aggressiveness that is givenbetween assiant manger (Ashley) to the actual manger (Jodi). Please beware. Read more
