We went Savoy's South Indian Kitchen at Calgary Location for lunch. Place order for Masala Dosa and Onion Masala Dosa. Good... place for dosa,authentic south indian taste,dosas and Sambhar is really nice. Masala dosa is taste good same crunchy and fresh.I am so happy untill my last bite. The lady who took our order was friendly and informative, specially staff who provide serviceHarman and Balwinder Kaur(sorry if spelling is wrong) they are friendly and so professional in take care customers. **Edit - March 19, 2022 The service has now improved a lot, I think the staff have been trained to provide better service. The... taste of their food is very consistent, it always tatses the same! Love their chutneys amd sambhar. **Edit - September 4,2021 I used to love the edmonton branch and I was really excited about moving to Calgary just to know that Savoy was here. Dueto covid we've only been ordering food items online and the food has been great. But after physically dining in the restaurantmy whole perspective has changed. There are 2 lady staff who have no manners and are very rude. They behave as if they're doingus a favor by serving us, shocked to receive this level of service in Canada! Another episode - a couple with a small babywalked in and due to covid requested for a table to the corner of the restaurant away from the crowd, but the lady staff refusedto let them occupy that table and wanted them to sit next to the other tables, why would you do that considering they also had ababy. And the customers walked out and the staff didn't even care. This is an example of success getting to their head and theydon't care about the service being provided. As much as I love their food, I will not visit again as they have no value forcustomers. I'm a south Indian and just moved to Calgary from Toronto. And this place amazes me.. Great service and great food. I have been to many south indian restaurant but this was fhe best, food was served hot and on... time, though we had a big group. i would recommend to everyone to order kutuprantha, matka biryani that is literally cooked inmatka and yes do taste their filter coffee. When it comes to service they were fast, helpful and welcoming, they followed theprotocol of covid and then helped us seated.
