It was our first time at Ruth's. Great service from the moment we walked in, we felt special. They had a birthday card and... confetti ready at our table. Our server Hani was more than exceptional and very knowledgeable. He made great recommendations forour meal and made every effort to make sure we were having a good experience. We had Calmari, sautéed mushrooms, and asparguswith our steaks, desserts we couldnt finish at the restaurant. All made perfectly. Thank you Ruth and Hani for your service andgreat food. Read more

I was visiting Calgary for a week and went to the restaurant for a dinner. When I entered the place, there was no one at the... front desk. After waiting I decided to go and browse around until I meet someone who'd help me to find a table. A person thatescorted me asked if I'd like to be sitted in the dining area or lounge. As I wasn't sure what was what, i thought that loungeprobably would have more chill environment. The person didn't sit me at a table, rather showed direction and said pick whereveryou want to sit, so naturally I'd walk and pick an area with more ppl. The restaurant staff came up to me and said I can't sitthere and escorted me to the lounge. Why don't you have a clear separation of two areas? It was confusing and frustrating whenyou sit down and then you were moved to another table. I ordered lobster bisque; it was extremely salty, after couple of spoonsI refused eating it, as it felt like I eat spoonful of salt. Not sure if the chef gave it a taste before serving. For the main,I got petite ribeye with asparagus and it was one of the best steaks I've tried!!!! So tender and juicy!!! As for the service,I sat at a table and was served by a bartender. Obviously he was busy making cocktails for other patrons. I found it weird wherethe dining area was swarming with waiters, the lounge was served by a person with double duty. Waiters from dining area wouldoccasionally come to the lounge to grab cocktails, if I'd try flagging someone, they'd call me the bartender. Overall theexperience and service was waaayy below average. In a regular $$ steakhouses youd get much better service. But the steak wasmindblowingly good!!! Side note: the lobster bisque was removed from my bill. Thank you???????? Read more

Was here for a work function during Christmas and I had a really enjoyable experience. Room was a bit crowded for my liking and... drink service a tad slow. However the food was exceptional. Got a ribeye steak and my wife had the steak and lobster. Ribeye wasmassive taking up the whole plate and cooked perfectly but was missing some seasoning. As my luck would have it, my wife's steakand lobster came with 2 lobster tails! This wasn't a mistake by the kitchen as initially thought. It's supposed to have twotails! Who even does this? After one tail and about half a steak, my wife called it quits and I destroyed the rest. Steak wasdelicious and the lobster tail was ????. I forgot what appys we had but I do remember then all being very tasty. Entreesobviously took all the attention. I can't attest to what the prices are like since the company paid for our event but what I cansay is that after trying the food, it's worth every penny. Just need to start saving up for the next time we come back. Wouldfully recommend Ruth's Chris. Read more

Got takeout which for dinner and it was still absolutely to die for. I was so impressed. Wasn’t sure if it would hold up well... to-go but it was amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had. Can’t imagine what it would be like if I had it dining in. All themeats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The flourless chocolate cake was good with the raspberry sauce but a little dense andsweet for my preference. We got the mixed grill (chicken, shrimp, and steak), lobster bisque soup, stuffed crab mushrooms, andCesar salad. Everything was *chefs kiss* pricey but well worth it. Read more

A classic - done to to perfection. 100% 5 stars and worth it. I can't believe I waited so long to try Ruth Chris thinking it'd... be just another steakhouse. This is the best in Calgary. I was there 3 times this week! Everything was delicious. We love thesizzling hot butter plates. Our exceptional waiter, Hanni, made our visits amazing. The man is the definition of perfectservice! It's a whole experience at Ruth Chris - relaxed, intimate, luxury. Can't wait to be back. Also, I love their mints!Sadly the last time I was there, they were out. Read more

1st time here, heard so many reviews of this place. The staff was super friendly and kind. We ordered the porthouse for 2 which... cost 155$. Then we got a side of green chile mac $15 and the side of broccoli $13. Yes you read right all the sides are sepratecosts. 90% of the dishes dont come with sides, they are extras. The mac was super tasty and not spicy but the porterhouse wasdoused in pepper so we had to cut the top off the steak pieces. The steak itself was fabulous after that! Lol. We didnt want tocomplain about the pepper overload as the steak itself was delicious. The decor of the place was good but the lighting was veryorange (as u can tell by the photos). Gave for a strange ambience, and the carpet really needs up update. But over all theexperience was good. We ordered desert- a banana cream pie $16 and a scoop of ice cream $6. Would recommend this place justperhaps ask for a quarter of the pepper on the steak. ???? Read more
